Houston TX, John Eagle Acura - $1000 non-refundable deposit, $5000 ADM

Wow, I talked to them about two weeks ago and was also told 1k non refundable but ADM was undetermined. I went with Sterling McCall Acura at MSRP but with added $1495 dealer add ons like tint, interior protection ect. It’s a ripoff but at least it’s not a straight ADM for nothing.

Duval Acura - Jacksonville Florida
No ADM, they do add a protection package to all their cars(all weather mats, cargo tray, wheel locks and 4 year paint protection) for ~$1500 but in my experience you can get that paint protection knocked off and save $895.

Interesting that they're claiming they have an exact color combo on the way--the 3 dealers I communicate with regularly insist they have no insight on color combos, and won't until next month.

Obviously, there will be no Acura-required accessories--these are big moneymakers for the dealership, Acura doesn't give a hoot what accessories you get. The more people know this, the better!

Sterling McCall seems not to want my business as they won't respond to me. Did you have an email address of a direct person? I don't trust when salesmen try to do call-only.

Not 100% sure about that.
I have been following GR Corolla roll out and Toyota has been adding about $1.5K in Port installed accessories that buyers have to accept in the purchase. Things like upgraded shifter, roof rake, floor mats, or trunk organized.

Feels like the initial buyers are going to get fleeced one way or another. Would be advised to give it 2-3 months for things to settle down and production to ramp up.
