I was looking for perspective, to get outside my head and see if there were any things I may have been looking at incorrectly.Sorry but what kind of input are you looking at then? You are asking whether you should bend the knee or look at another dealer but you are also saying there's no leverage and they don't have to budge.
In that case, isn't the only reasonable course of action here to shop elsewhere?
As it so happens, I was off on the aspect of how much it impacts my credit. Exploring that more after feedback, I see that it may dip for a few months but it should recover quickly, long before I go to renew my mortgage.
So I've asked to co-sign, I'll snag the $500 and call it a day.
For all intents and purposes the thread is done unless other want to debate the policy further.
