Weird smell in car

So I always drive with the windows down unless I have a passenger. I don’t like auto ac. Feels kinda sticky and gross. I think my back sweat was absorbed by the front drivers seat. Because there’s this funky smell now

everyone tells me it’s all in my head and they can’t smell it. But those people are wrong cuz I’m always right

anyways. What is the center seat material? Can I use a small portable carpet cleaner thingy? The thingy that sprays a cleaning solution (id just run a watered down version of the cleaner), scrubs and sucks the liquid out via suction. Don’t remember what that thing was called. Sorry.

Get a microfiber and soak it in hot water. Squeeze it out as much as possible then wipe the suede with it just enough to dampen it. Then get another microfiber with 2-3 squeezes of Sonax Alcantara cleaner rubbed in it and wipe the seat again. Then get another microfiber just like the first with the hot water squeezed out and wipe the seat down. Finish with a dry microfiber to get it as dry as possible. That's what I do to the Type-R seats and should work good for the suede part of your seat. It has a light pleasant scent and if this doesn't fix your issue it must be something else.

So far so good. I used gyeon interior cleaner when I confirmed it definitely wasn’t suede

not trying to talk shit about sonax. Never used their stuff. I gotta use what’s on hand LOL

gyeon interior has a citrusy kind of smell. Very faint but it’s there. My car has a jdm squash air freshener. Whole fucking car smells like a sprite was dropped on the floor

Took a sniff today. Looks like it worked. People are still saying I’m crazy cuz I obsessed over a smell that didn’t actually exist. But to them I say mind your damn business

Good to hear! Sometimes, driving around with the windows open a lot just gets the car a little funky. Might not smell bad, but not good either.

Nah. I’m in Colorado. Not humid enough. Still possible tho but kind of barely.

to be real with U. Ever since my surgery last week. My nose hasn’t been firing on all 8 cylinders. However, I do enjoy making it everyone else’s problem.

For any future reference, yes you can use the carpet cleaner thing. It's not real Alcantara or suede. It's a synthetic microsuede and it's waterproof.

When I spilled a chocolate protein shake in the passenger seat I pulled it out and used a Bissell to clean it. Worked just fine.
