I was planning on upgrading the downpipe (TSP) on my 2023 Integra Apec CVT and keeping the factory exhaust. However, I did find a gently used remark exhaust for $700. Should I go for the used remark exhaust instead of the downpipe upgrade? I am not to concerned about getting much of a performance upgrade but a little more sound would be nice. This is my daily driver but my commute is only 20 mins.

The two aren't really comparable. A cat-back exhaust won't do anything for power, just sound. On the other hand, a downpipe will give a noticeable power upgrade even without a tune.

I can't say what a downpipe with the stock exhaust does for sound because I haven't done it, but a cat-back with the stock downpipe will give you some pops off-throttle.

Really depends what you're after.

Have TSP downpipe and full Remark exhaust with black tips and couldn’t be happier. Sounds great for a 1.5T

If it has to be one or the other I would go the exhaust route. Life is too boring with stock exhaust!

I actually just got a new TSP DP on my car in bronze caracote to match my wheels (I’ll need to paint the heat shield to match the wheels but need thermal paint), finished a few hours ago. The exhaust isn’t an issue and changing it without the downpipe is an upgrade with the bottleneck in between.
The truth is that the aftermarket downpipe will have a wider exit to the fp compared to OEM, letting the exhaust fumes exit into the exhaust more freely.
since the install, the sound has tremendously improved the tone when I rev and redline, even on a stock exhaust system with a resonator delete, I might not change the exhaust since I have those two making great sound.

My one warning is that I learned the hard way that aftermarket DP use m10 1.5 bolts and not the m10 1.25 bolt threads that the car normally uses, thank god using a tap fixed my catastrophic error.

I have the PRL HVI, TSP downpipe, and PRL frontpipe as my only performance mods currently. That combo sounds good and definitely gives a power boost! Louder and more fun!
