Mine was not flush as well. I had to readjust my spare so the foam can sit flush. Try to wiggle your spare around and then put the foam back on. Should sit flush if you did it corrctly
I’ll try that out. Btw, did you use those 3 pads as well? I didnt use them yet. Thank you

Wondering for the people using a spare that only fits the front , would adding wheel spacers allow it to fit the rear ?

I think you mean the other way around, right?

Hey everyone, nice to meet you all! I am taking possession of a type-S in 2 weeks! Pretty excited. I am also trying to solve the spare tire situation.

Do you think the Modern Spare (or other brand 18") would fit within the tire area of an ITS if you let air out of the tire? I am wondering if the tire bulge is what is keeping the spare tire cover area from not fitting. I would live with a flat spare, I would include the pump in the back and plan to inflate the spare in a pinch.

Thanks!

There is a spare tire thread in the Type S section. You'll have more info there.

Yeah either way just wondering if they would allow a spare to fit both front and rear
I don't think a spacer would work (unless it was WAY thick) because the issue is the front brake caliper is too big for the spare tire wheel to clear.

I currently have a 2006 TSX 6MT, and I'm considering upgrading to a 2026 Integra Aspec 6MT. I am considering getting a new tire for the TSX spare -- which is only 16x4 -- and using it in the Teg, but pretty sure it won't work on the front.

Do you have a source for that info? I've seen it mentioned online before but I've read through the manual and there's nothing in there about that. The section about using a compact spare tire shows replacing the front driver-side tire with the compact spare. The only thing they tell you not to do in the front is put chains on a spare.
I second this request! Seems like folks keep posting it but wondering where it came from (since it isn't the manual like one person claimed).

I found a single OEM gen 1 TSX rim for sale. 215/50/17x7+55. Fits perfect. Secured with this screw https://a.co/d/1YdzalQ and bought a scissor jack from amazon. I always carry a ratchet set and torque wrench in my car.
Is the floor of the hatch area completely flat/flush with the larger spare? I cannot tell for sure looking at your pic.

I would say it’s fairly flush. If anything slightly higher by mm. The issue is no foam insert fits neatly into wheel well so I just put a layer of towels, then the tools, and top it off with the air compressor for a good foundation. Otherwise anything you put on top would sink into the wheel well

Thanks for the info. I should have an extra 215/50R17 tire (for my TSX) in my basement so now thinking it might make more sense to snag an extra 17x7 rim to use knowing I have all the jack & stuff from the TSX. Then I'll just put the stock foam insert from the Teg in the well of the TSX.
