Because the other cars have CVT's and are better on fuel than their manual equivalent, or are SUV's and have different EPA regulations.

Then that would mean the CRV, ADX, and Integra would have to go Hybrid only. Which would make the manual version even less sensible from a company logistics POV.

They need time to put in all those spy cameras in the cabin required for 2027+ cars. lol

They wouldn't need to blame the EPA if that was the case. They would just make the change and then post and revised spec changes.

The EPA angle makes sense as to why it only impacts the manuals. Engines pollute most when they're changing state, which is why we have such bad rev hang on the L15s to mitigate the sudden drop in RPMS. During EPA testing manuals follow a prescribed shifting cycle, so they may not be able to actually get the engine to pass that test. But the CVT tuning can be tweaked to maintain a more consistent RPM during acceleration. So it'll just suck even more to drive a CVT car in 2027...

Maybe the RAM prices got too expensive and rather than re-design the trans to not have rev matching, they're just dropping it entirely... Thanks a lot Data Centers...
