For those of you with aftermarket knobs, what are you doing to keep the boot up and flush with the bottom of the knob? My boot collar sags down sometimes and looks sad.

Thanks for any insight here.

I use the acuity ti collar. I like it, and I got it to match the trim ring on my knob. Hold well, moves easily to swap/adjust. Only issue is that it's a touch smaller than the boot so you have to strategically bunch it. It's a minor thing, though.

I like the Acuity one also and I have the red one. To fix the issue with the collar and boot that Vic mentioned, I just wrapped that area a few times with some felt tape to increase the diameter a little. It helps with the bunching a bit.

That's really smart! I love it. I didn't realize it would bunch until after the zip tie was on, and then I told myself I'd go back and do something about it later. Maybe one day after I get to the rest of the backlog of parts to install 🤣🤣.

I told myself the same thing initially and never got around to it lol. It wasn't until I started taking the interior apart more regularly that I finally got to fixin' it. A little trial and error and a bunch of these low profile zip ties will get you the results you want. You might still have some bunching but you could bunch at the rear so it's not directly visible.

Thanks!

I have the acuity spring and the lower mount things set aside to install. I plan at some point over this winter to rip apart the entire dash and finally fix the extremely frustrating screen, dash, vent, and charger rattles that make my head want to explode over chip sealed roads. That will be a good time to redo the collar/boot.

I also planned on adding butyl to the console area to improve the plastic feel and kill some of the noise from that area. Then it will be on to the a and b pillars...
