I did a quick search and didn't see anything, but that's not to say I've done any research at all on this issue. Does anyone know if the seat belt retraction can be adjusted at all? When I take off my seat belt, I have to sort of hand feed it back so the belt doesn't hang out when I open the door. No issues otherwise, it feels normal when I put it on and while I'm wearing it. But for some reason it seems like it doesn't have enough strength to pull the belt back tight against the pillar when I take it off.

Again, I have spent more time writing this post than I have on actual troubleshooting. Thanks for your time.

Mine does it to and I am not sure why. It is annoying though.

Mine was always weak and eventually stopped retracting all together after I was doing cement work and getting into the car with a dusty jacket. I took it to Acura and they disassembled it, said the intervals were dirty, cleaned it, and put it back together. It works again now. Pretty lame how easy it was to foul the weak mechanism.

In my wife's Toyota sienna, you let go of the seat belt buckle, and it flies back to it's home with no hesitation.

If any of mine have any resistance they don't retract. They're also obscenely long.

They started getting quickly weaker from about 500mi on, and now they barely retract without me first straightening and feeding it first. I just don't want to take it to acura and have them touch anything.

My car has never really been dirty and nothing dirty inside since it's a 4th car that gets only a bit of use (4k mi per year or so). From factory it was pitifully dirty, and now you're making me think that maybe the tensioner itself is also dirty inside from factory.

I am disappointed that there are so many details that Acura have dropped on the floor to mar the quality of such an otherwise great car.
