This may be a bit of an unusual question but maybe somebody here can help.
I need to replace my steering rack after the housing cracked in an accident. The EPS motor is intact and functional.
I bought a used OEM steering rack and am wondering if I can bolt my original motor onto the new rack.
My thinking is that if I keep the original motor, there won't be a need to program the ECU to the car.
Of course I'll still need to calibrate the neutral position and sensors but I can do that with my Autel.
It looks like it should be a simple swap but wondering if anyone here has dealt with anything like this?
Thank You
