I forgot to add, make sure that the recessed part of the orange plastic is nice and dry before inserting the dipstick to get your reading. That seems to be the key for me.

If that part is dry to start with then you'll get a great reading. If not you'll never get a decent reading.

I start with 5 quarts. Start it up then check and add as necessary. I usually aim for the higher hole. Basic oil change.

So I took the plunge and got the Wunderladen Type S dipstick. Bought it from @Unity Performance for $102 CAD and I would gladly buy it again. Night and day difference reading the oil compare to the stock one. I can read it in 2 seconds flat in bad lighting, as opposed to second guessing if a bit of stray oil got wicked up into the plastic window, showing a false high reading.

Looks nice in silver with the valve cover. The top is 1:1 size wise with the OEM however I noticed two small issues.
1) The OEM has that grommet near the top which seems to block the oil. The WL dip stick had oil up in the screws without the engine even being turned on.
2) Lined up together the reading range is wider than stock. The bottom end is a little lower and the top end is a fair bit higher.

Neither is problematic, however these are my observations for those who would care about such things.
