Hi all! Just placed order/down payment for a type s that my local dealer was allocated to them that same day. So will be getting it in silver, black wheels...am having them do tint, front bumper an hood paint protection, rear bumper load area protection an the carbon mirror cap an spoiler. Was hoping to do quick buy but at least there is no markup with this dealer. Do hope the wait isn't to long too!

Congrats on your allocation! Are they able to do black wheels now or are they swapping them? They’ve always been a dark gray from the factory.

Thank you am excited even though I am giving up my dream car, hatchback STI, it's the factory dark gray...was debating about the bronze but the price on those is the same as an aftermarket set...does anyone go down in size or do they normally stick with the 19s?

Congrats, it is a fantastic car. I'd be curious to hear your impressions coming from the STI after you get your ITS; I had a VA STI (2015) and I feel like there were a lot of similarities between that car and the ITS.

As for timing, once a dealer has an allocation it's generally a matter of weeks. It's been a couple years now but if I recall correctly, I had visited my dealer expressing interest almost exactly two years ago when they started shipping demos out, and I got a call they received an allocation. I went in and did the paperwork that day, and actually traded in the car I had at the time and they gave me an MDX as a loaner. It was about 8 days later my ITS arrived, and a day or two after that for inspection and parts install.

As for wheels, lots of folks go to 18s. From my perspective, I stuck with 19s because at the time I was looking, not many folks had put aftermarket wheels on their DE5s and of the ones who had I just didn't like the way 18s looked on this car so I felt like I had to stick with 19s. In retrospect, I would probably have opted for a different design like the Volk CE28, which actually looks great on this platform and downsized to 18s strictly for tire choice options. I do track stuff with my car, and the choices for 200 TW tires are severely limited in 19" sizes vs 18s. But other than that, you can't really go wrong either way.

Finally got it! Easy to setup custom items and love the adaptive cruise, will have to try it more! It drives very similar to my sti, but is very quiet...have mainly been doing comfort mode an only difference o really felt between the three is the steering...the off the line torque is ridiculous an had to back waaaay off throttle when turning right a few times lol. Definitely recommend the carbon spoiler an mirror caps!

I have also orderred the wunderladen overflow an rear motor mount, hks fmic kit, and the acuity stage 1 shift kit an some weathertech floor mats. Am debating between volk ze40 18x9.5 +45 and gramlight 57xr +38 same size as rim options...leaning toward the gramlight as I like the style a little more

Forgot to add, the rev match does make it stupid easy to drive, I'm sure there will be somethings like the clutch damper that I may remove...but it's nice so far!

The silver does a great job of making the black pop very similar to the white!

If you remove the clutch damper, also remove the CDV in the slave cylinder.

Yes thank you!

I did put my toolbox in the cargo area an it too fits without issue, didnt even have to remove the Privacy cover!

Snap-on Tools GMTK 6 Drawer All-Weather Rolling Tool Box is what I have for myself, a little large but organizes my tools for my side hustle!

I just did some accidental offloading (bad directions to a person's house) and found in the dirt my backend wants to swing out even with low speed...interesting handling, it cleared everything is needed an was easy to control though
