This my favorite car to drive of all time and I’m 68. I love the engagement and connection that this 6 speed gives. I also have a 23 BMW M240 Xdrive. That car is strip fast but even with a ZF8 transmission there is no connection with car. Driving it gets boring. The ITS is fun drive even when going slow. The BMW will be my winter car.

Nice to see appreciation for what the type s brings . Do you plan on keeping it stock or any modifications whether it's exterior or or interior

Awesome cars!

How would you compare the steering feel of the M240 vs. the ITS?

I remember when BMW started to make the switch away from hydraulic steering to electric about 10ish+ years ago and at least back then it was pretty bad. I had an E92 328 xDrive and an E90 335 xDrive around that time and the hydraulic steering in those is among the best I've driven in cars and nothing really came close until I got the ITS (which I'd argue feels even better).

ITS feels sign feels better but not significantly.

Glad to read this! My wife is a bit of a car nut while I love fast cars I have always been more of a offroad guy... Any way long story short I just let her choose what ever she wants with little to no input when it comes to her cars...
So she and her sister test drove a M240i Coupe one weekend and she told me it's her next car. I remember the older 2 series so I looked it up and was like hell yes! Fast forward 2 weeks later she goes back out of town to visit her sister and she calls me and says we are buying an Acura. I am like ok guess we are getting a normal car for once not knowing this even existed lol... Then she sent some photos and I was like ok this is cool and not what I was expecting.. I still wanted the BMW just on looks alone even though I never drove it. When we went to pick it up it was the 1st time I had ever seen a Type S or probably an Integra as the nearest dealership is 150+ miles away. After seeing it in person and driving it I was like ok this is awesome! I have never been a fan of FWD cars but his car has changed my mind it just works. Any way still love the new 2 series but glad to know my wife made the right choice!
