Sorry, it's the Everett NXT. Uses the two lower latch connectors and no top strap so it won't smash your headrest.
It looks like this booster in particular doesn't require the top tether but most covertibles will - just a heads up for whoever comes across this thread.

Also, for those that have other convertibles/boosters that do require it, it doesn't have to be super tight that it squishes the headrest -- just taut.

I have about 2" until roofline at this point and my son is sitting at just under 44" tall. He could technically go backless, but I hadn't planned on getting him there until he was at 49". 49 is the cutoff to move to backless.
The backless is purely a question of how the shoulder belt crosses your kids shoulder. If the booster base is high enough that it allows the shoulder strap to cut across the clavicle and not the neck, you can technically ditch the back.

This is not at a specific height, weight or age, but specific on your situation.

My daughter is also somewhere between 44 and 45" and I'm still rocking the Graco 4ever seat in the Integra for ultimate safety (5 point harness), however I use a backless booster in the Civic when I use it to ferry her to her grandparents house just down the road. Technically it's okay based on the way the belt goes across her but she will stay in a 5 point harness seat as long as she can comfortably fit.
