Thanks for the info brother. If you planned on going big turbo in the future, would that change your decision on the intake?Intakes my take is that choose the one you like except the Takeda, might throw a code. PRL offers good value for money, infinity and eventuri are my personal favorites just for looks.
I broke my car for 1k miles of easy driving for the first 300-400 miles, the. Started opening her up progressively and the las 100-200 miles I opened her up completely with an oil change right at the 1k mark. You can tune after that.
Big turbo I would recommend an intake and inlet. Thanks for the info brother. If you planned on going big turbo in the future, would that change your decision on the intake?
Sorry, I meant as far as which one you'd run. I definitely wouldn't do a BT on stock intake ?Big turbo I would recommend an intake and inlet.
Depends on the budget! The eventuri and the Infinity ones are the nicest ones and would run one of those if money is no object. As far as bang for buck PRL pretty much has that locked down.Sorry, I meant as far as which one you'd run. I definitely wouldn't do a BT on stock intake ?
Hi! Yes I can do cloning, haven’t had the chance to do a 2025 ITS clone yet so don’t have an answer for you. I would just get the correct part number to be safe or just jailbreak your oem ecu.Hey @JesterTuned, got a question for you.
I am working towards getting miles on the car so I can have you tune it (only at 560 total), but im starting to do some research now. With how inexpensive ECU's are, I was considering picking up a spare one just in case. It looks like there's multiple part numbers, and supposedly some dont work for the 2025. Available online for the Integra is:
37820-6PV-A02
37820-6PV-A03 - supersedes 37820-6PV-A02
37820-6PV-A05 - only part # listed for 2025 models. Other part #'s above supposedly dont work for 2025. I verified this on multiple part websites.
Have you ran into this at all yet? Do you know if they are interchangable/backwards compatible? Also, do you do cloning?
Sounds like we might have the opportunity to explore some things. If I can get a pre-2025 ECU for a good price, I might just send it to you for some experimentation, if you want. Worst case, I'll pick up a second 2025 unit. Thanks!Hi! Yes I can do cloning, haven’t had the chance to do a 2025 ITS clone yet so don’t have an answer for you. You are welcome! Thanks for helping me with my unlock and custom e85 tune. This car is now a monster!
Can't wait until all the next upgrades are done.
I'll be reaching out then again for your help that's for sure!![]()
I have a 25 ITS with 700 miles and never experienced rev hang. Do you think that Acura made a change?I've been trying to figure out who I want to tune my car and posts like this really make me want to just bite the bullet. Jester sounds a joy to deal with and I know he's tuned a TON of these cars at this point so I might be nearing my breaking point and finally getting it tuned.
You mentioned the 1-2 shift is easier, can I ask if you feel that rev hang is a part of that? Tbh, the primary reason I want a tune is that my perception of what rev hang is really degrades the experience of the car (it's still awesome but could be way better). The 1-2 shift in my car feels like I have to wait for an ETERNITY to let the revs drop down and release the clutch to not get a lurch. I imagine maybe my driving style or something needs improvement but I've tried numerous things and it seems to come back to just waiting for revs to fall. I imagine some rev hang is good so you don't have to shift fast every single time, but less than factory is probably ideal.
Also, since you mentioned decel, that is something I have noticed at times in my car. It feels like the diff engagement is a bit harsh or something. I figured it was just necessary to get the other great characteristics of the car, but if even that feels better on the car that would be awesome. Maybe it's more to do with throttle or something so a tuner can smooth it out. Sounds like some great quality-of-life improvements for sure.
I have a 2025 as well and it definitely has rev hang. I guess it could have been an in-production change... but every time it happens it makes me feel like I dont know how to drive. LolI have a 25 ITS with 700 miles and never experienced rev hang. Do you think that Acura made a change?
