Instrument cluster rattle/buzzing

So I've had a rattle/buzz for nearly 2 years and couldn't figure it out. Sounds like it was coming from left corner of instrument cluster. Happened all speeds though it would come and go. Finally, happened to randomly push my left leg against the lower panel and it intermittent went away. So I took the panel off and found pushing up on the gray junction box would silence it. Found the left side of it has a slit where it slides up onto a metal bracket. There was some slight give, so I just took a chance and sprayed the metal bracket with a little dry lube. Rattle gone. I'm not sure if I can make that slot connection tighter.

It's under and behind the lower panel under the driver A/C Vent and instrument cluster. The pic I attached is looking upwards from the floor.

I also get a buzz/rattle there, and it's frustrating because it comes and goes so much. Good find!

No problem. It had been so frustrating to isolate because it sounded like it was coming from higher up on the dash. Once I removed that panel and drove around it was noticeably louder.

i just had one start today that sounds like its coming from above the dash...i will also give this a look!

The HUD cover and especially center screen backing are known to rattle too. I had the dealer replace the backing for the center screen twice before it quit buzzing.

Reviving an older post, could you point in this photo where i would expect to find clips to remove this panel? I have a weird rattle coming from near the stop start button and bottom right corner of instrument cluster. I feel like if i could remove this panel, i have a chance.

Removing the long dash trim twice likely didnt help of course, i was chasing another rattle and ended up creating this one probably.

For this panel, im concerned about the airbag also, so i'll take pointers. Thank you in advance!
