Ghost Rider in cruise control

Another heat wave here in southern New England and the Integra radar / camera cruise control is picking up the heat mirages coming off the pavement as a motorcycle. The center display will briefly display a motorcycle and cruise control will slow down or in some cases apply the emergency collision brake system.

Anyone else experiencing this?

i tried doing the adaptive cruise and mine was randomly braking without cause...turned it off as i felt like i would be perceived as a jerk slowing down randomly/brakes being activated for no reason...

Not from hot air but I've had this happen from bugs hitting the camera. Always entertaining being jolted randomly, especially if you've got extra bitey track only pads you're driving home on and it brake checks you from 80 to 60 .

It's happened in other cars too. It's especially bad trying to follow an electric car that's aggressive about its regen on cruise.

Or what happened to me on the way home...car cut me off an had the hard deceleration lol

I had a post about this last winter when the road was white with salt and in the bright sun. I didn’t see a motor cycle, but a phantom tractor trailer dance across the screen.
