"Dealer Prep" of $900 in addition to the Freight and PDI of $2595? If so, that's nuts. PDI should contain the "dealer prep" portion.

You might get a better deal if you finance the car

I've put a deposit down for an ITS in Langley and got a quote sheet. Sale guy said a lot of the accessories can be negotiated at time of delivery. But there's a cost line that says deal prep fee in addition to the standard paper work fee.

Has anyone else see that when they bought their ITS in Canada. I'm wondering if that's something i can talk my way out of.
You can definitely talk your way out of it, but you have to be prepared to walk away.

Thanks for confirming i'm not crazy :D. I'll see what i can do to wiggle out of that one, maybe it's just a line filler hopefully and i can swap it with some more meaningful options.

That's because in Canada you cannot over charge so dealers complain and Acura Canada give them this amount to compensate ...has anyone manage to avoid this 1000?

Agreed but they can still charge that 1k ... did you manage to take this amount off ?
MSRP for me. I added some stuff, but stuff I wanted: wheel locks, TAG, Sherlock marking, OBD blocker.

Likewise. Mine was MSRP + dealer installed lock nuts for $160.

Found out from my local dealer in Victoria that my chances of getting a car with my colour choices is not looking good and it will most likely be next year. I can’t wait that long so either I need to find a car at a different dealership or move to a different car (Golf R etc…). Pretty disappointing…

that really is just how it is with these cars. I’d originally wanted white with black interior but my dealer said that they can’t guarantee anything but they could for sure set me up with the red interior. I didn’t want to leave anything to chance and have grown to love the red interior.

I also got mine from a dealer 2.5 hours away, but that was for a bit of a different reason. Bottom line: you will have to do a bit of work to get something close to what you want

Where abouts in Canada are you? @zaius same question to you too. I'm in the Vancouver BC area and i'm wondering if different regions just handles things differently. Seems to be the case from the thread so far.
GTA.
Most dealers tack on options as well, only a very small minority are honest.
