Any solutions or advice for going aftermarket on brake parts? Acura pads and rotors are so expensive

Rotors are expensive from OE because it is sold as a unit, not just the outer ring. I would get Girodisc rotors or paragon (not as good as Girodisc) both have the option to replace the outer ring by itself. Paragon offers a factory replacement outer ring which would be on the cheaper options.

For brake pads, really depends on your want. Factory replacement? Akebono is a great option. EBC is also pretty decent for a factory replacement pad.

Are the rotors *really* in need of replacement.

99/100 a shop is doing it as a package. Every time I have asked for the measured runout of a rotor I get crickets.

Here's what I just purchased and installed, no issues...

Disk Brake Canada
Great info. Great prices too (just noticed that taxes and shipping is included in their prices). And shipped from Canada, so no surprise fees at delivery.

Since I drive my car in the winter, would probably get a coated rotor (zinc or stainless - seems stainless coated is better for rust prevention than zinc, from what they say).

Thanks for sharing!

I just got an entire set of replacement rotors (all 4) from Rock Auto for $210 shipped. One of my buddies was running them at the track with Counterspace Garage pads and they performed great. Just good old fashioned blanks.
Dynamic Friction- part no 60459065- Front rotors
Dynamic Friction- part no 60459067- rear rotors

Super stoked at the pricing. Just 1 piece fronts but I won't feel bad throwing them away when they wear out.

FWIW, I've had 2 track instructors tell me that running blanks is the way to go. no need spending a ton of money on fancy looking rotors.
