Android Auto constantly disconnecting and reconnecting

So I have noticed this a few times. It does not happen every time I drive the car but the times that it does happen it will happen over and over again during the trip.
Yesterday I drove 260 miles over the course of the day and it never happened. Today I drove about 8 miles to the Chinese boofay and it happened about 8 or 9 times in that 8 miles. Same thing on the way back. Then coming home from work it was fine again.
I'm not sure if it my Phone or the car. Phone is an S23 Ultra which I got brand new. Never dropped or abused and still seems to be in fine working order. Just wondering if this is a common issue or a me issue?

I used to have this issue as well with my s22u. I've upgraded to the s24u and had it happen once or twice when tethered, but never wireless. I did find on the s22u I had to delete local data and cache and reinstall the app every so often. Going into dev settings and enabling the higher throughput Bluetooth if you have the option is helpful.

Are you using it with a wired or wireless connection? If wired, the first thing I'd do is check the cable. At least with Apple, cheap third-party cables can be quite finicky. Also old cables.

Using it wireless. I don't use it super often so it's not a huge deal but rather annoying when I see it go on and off.
