Forgive me for the off-topic rant, but this is my thread so I'm going to do what I want. Disclaimer: I am passionate about vehicles. Do not take my opinions as fact. Caveat: I have realized how much I like my integra now that I don't have it. I was placed in a 2022 RDX A-Spec Tech while Honda...
With the DTS neural surround on, this is the best factory sound I've ever experienced. I've gone up to 20 with absolute clarity and that's as loud as I can stand. The 2022 RDX loaner I'm in now sounds exactly the same (as it should being the same ELS system).
Mine never said anything was unavailable besides the parking sensors when I was in reverse. I didn't take a picture of that error but it was always accompanied by the errors in my original post.
QC is not what it once was. Likely due to the labor shortage. Many American companies are going through the same thing. The "Honda build quality" is not as reputable as it used to be.
Overworked employees tend to make "stupid mistakes."
I am starting this thread to document the issues I experienced regarding the brake system and parking sensors. This also to stop high jacking jcombs91's thread.
On 11/21, when backing into my driveway, my car threw 3 errors along with a "brake system" warning light at 1601 miles. Pics of the...
My car is staying at the dealership until at least Monday. Service dept. at the dealership could not identify the issue and will be calling in the Acura (Honda?) Engineers on Monday.
They sent me home with a 2022 RDX A-Spec.
At the dealer update: the car is saying the parking sensor/automatic emergency braking system is not initialized and will not initialize when they command it to.
How do you know this is logged?
Are the dealers truly adept to checking these logs?
I spent years as a tech in my early years and know it's very manufacturer dependent on which codes are stored and where as well as how little companies care if codes are not active.
I would please like an...
Well I went a full day and a half with no errors. Between 12 and 9pm today any time I started the car the error immediately showed up.
Hoping this trend continues into Friday so I can have an active error at the dealer and get something from them opposed to the "idk no error" response I'm used...
Third time I got the issue today. Set the parking brake in my driveway and let the clutch out in neutral. The car apparently didn't like it.
If this is a reluctor ring and magnetic pickup issue, the only way this would be triggered is if erroneous readings were picked up at this time. A debris...
Well on my drive home from work, everything was cleared when I started (power cycle) the car. No errors whatsoever.
If I don't end up with the errors being repeatable, I know exactly what the dealership will say: "if we don't see an issue, we can't fix it."
We'll see how the rest of the week...
I just got the myriad of brake/parking system errors when I put the car in reverse to back into my driveway earlier today.
Later, after a power cycle, it was fine for about 1/4 mile until I was sitting stopped at a traffic light and everything popped up again.
We'll see what happens when I...
I've noticed that until warmed up the engine does not sound happy (3 bars on gauge minimum). The sound reminds me of spark knock at 30+% load until warm. Hoping it's not spark knock myself...I'm sure my road-going neighbors don't appreciate the level I've been taking it easy and being nice due...
The rear defrost seems to not work well with fogged windows. I can confirm both this, and after our first snow last night, that it works just fine for snow/ice. There is likely a thermal switch regulating temperature of the heater itself opposed to just applying a steady current. This wouldn't...
Out of curiosity, I plugged in an OBDII reader I had to see what boost pressure the engine made after reading from other users, it was lower than the advertised maximum.
The reader reads the MAP sensor value. I saw a maximum of 7psi at partial throttle and 5psi at WOT in 2nd and 3rd gear in...
