update on my LCM from the first 200 batch—it's still in production this week, and i won't take delivery until late July/early August as my dealer says it's about 30 days between production and delivery to the west coast ?
I heard that they were building all 50 of each color ITS at the same...
honestly on a $50k car I might skip it, or do bumper + partial fender/ hood
on my BMWs I'm more inclined to do it, as at $100k ish the % extra for PPF is more reasonable—also more likely to actually save you money due to paint condition in the long run, as cosmetic damage will take off more...
Love this ahah
I am in a bit of a similar boat but with my G80 M3 xdrive
It's insanely fast and a great all-around car but feels a bit isolated. I think an ITS will serve me just fine and is plenty fast for American city+canyon roads. I have no desire to cruise at 150+ just for the sake of it...
My LCM from the initial 200 batch is scheduled to be built next week. Dealer says it will take 30 days after it's built to deliver (Oregon). Seems a bit long, no? What are other folks hearing re: their LCMs?
will be driving the ITS on monday morning
both local dealers are strictly adhering to the June 19 embargo date for test drives—one is not even showing the car beforehand lol
i've driven both the FL5 type R and standard integra A-spec (albeit an automatic) briefly; happy to report back here...
Dealerships like this are awful. I've found that if you play enough hardball, they will remove add-ons, especially if the car has been sitting for some time. With brand new cars where they would often charge a markup anyways, it's hard to get around.
Similar to mine, ish, but does not explain the massive difference. I was quoted around $230/m for a 2023 A spec.
$1000 collision
$100 comprehensive
250k/500k liability
Plus underinsured motorist for 250k/500k, that adds some too
ZIP code probably accounts for a lot of the rest, I imagine?
Apparently insurance in urban centers costs a ton. Lots of accidents, theft, vandalism etc. My 2004 Volvo is still $120 monthly. Is your home address in an urban center? Also, what sort of coverage do you have?
I’ve pulled a few VINs from Autotrader for demos and incoming orders, but for whatever reason my insurance, Farmer’s, does not see the car to quote it. The VIN does not show up in their system. Neither does the year+make+model.
I tried Progressive’s website too, and it has the same issue, Acura...
Went with LCM/red. Saw an A spec with that combo and it looks clean. It’s the only metallic color option so it feels a bit more upscale than the pearlescent ones (metal flakes in the paint vs acrylic flakes in the clear coat). LCM is also a pretty new color.
It’s great in my G80. I only use it because there’s been a glitch since idrive 8 launched where using maps in CarPlay causes the GPS to get very inaccurate (~0.1 miles off) at random times
It’s nice having the backup for any software glitches like this, plus knowing that if you’re somewhere with...
Very fair point. Benefit is that if you have a special car like the N, you can often times get a bit better treatment than with your average Hyundai Kona. But I agree, the ITS/CTR are more refined vehicles. The ITS does not offer 50% more car/ performance/ features for that 50% more money. But...
