  1. New Mustang GT priced competitively with Integra Type S

Inflation, Civic prices went up a lot too. And now Ford has no muscle car competition. And they have to make up for losing $10k per EV sold, though fortunately they’re selling very few of those.
  2. New Mustang GT priced competitively with Integra Type S

I've had rental Mustangs twice, so put over a week of seat time in them. That's unfortunately killed my interest in them, the seats feel cramped, even in front, and the car just feels like a one-trick pony - you stomp on the gas, it makes loud noises, and that's about it. I enjoyed driving my...
  3. Type S vs CT4V Blackwing test drive review

You could launch carrier aircraft from that rear spoiler. Thank god it’s optional.
  4. Head to head comparison: Civic Type R vs. Integra Type S (Throttle House review)

It’s a big car but it’s lacking features for the family. My Focus hatch has rear armrest, rear USB ports and rear AC vents, and was $24k less.
  5. Head to head comparison: Civic Type R vs. Integra Type S (Throttle House review)

We drove our two kids around in a Subaru Ascent in the US, and now here in Taiwan they're quite happy in the back of our Ford Focus hatchback, although it has a center armrest and tons of legroom (37" I think). They also love the B&O sound system. I think in the US we are brainwashed to...
  6. Head to head comparison: Civic Type R vs. Integra Type S (Throttle House review)

I saw a rear armrest sold in Japan for older Civics - not sure how it mounts, has a hook in front. I'll look for something like that if I get a Type R or ITS. Just annoying to have to go ghetto on your $52k car luxury car.
  7. Head to head comparison: Civic Type R vs. Integra Type S (Throttle House review)

I'm most disappointed about the lack of rear armrest. My kids use that daily.
  8. Head to head comparison: Civic Type R vs. Integra Type S (Throttle House review)

The reason people say the ITS doesn’t feel like $52k is cause it’s missing features that are on basic Civics.
  9. Head to head comparison: Civic Type R vs. Integra Type S (Throttle House review)

I think the GRC is definitely rear biased (70/30) but they designed the suspension so it won’t oversteer anyway. I suppose you could fix that aftermarket but I don’t want to mess with that. It’s a strange choice that hopefully Toyota will fix in the future. Why have a 70/30 mode if it behaves...
  10. Type S vs CT4V Blackwing test drive review

I priced one out at $68k, like $5k in options (wheels, paint, seats). There wasn’t any other option that appealed to me, except maybe carbon fiber but I wouldn’t pay out the nose for that. I don’t want a moonroof, glad it’s optional. A lot of options are only available on the automatic.
  11. Type S vs CT4V Blackwing test drive review

I don’t think anyone puts Straight Pipes on the level of SavageGeese. ? they’re fun but more clowns than serious reviewers. But everyone loves the Blackwings, they’re not alone.
  12. Type S vs CT4V Blackwing test drive review

I have a thread for this already in the comparison forum. ? The Blackwings had huge markups too, when they were newer. You’ll be able to get an ITS at MSRP soon enough so the question is really “is the CT4V BW worth the extra $16k?” Not really for me, it’s more of a backup in case ADMs...
  13. Acura Integra vs Mazda 3 Ride Quality, NVH

Mazdas drive great, I can’t quite get the configuration I want, 6mT and either LSD or awd, but we might get my wife a CX5 as the family car.
  14. ITS vs CT4-V Blackwing 6mT

I think the V6 sounds better, it has a rear armrest, better front seats (maybe), and probably some luxury features. If it was an LS engine it would be a no brainer. It may not matter, I suspect they’ll go out of production before you can get them at MSRP.
  15. ITS vs CT4-V Blackwing 6mT

The CT4-V Blackwing is on my short list, a couple thoughts: 1. If you get the 6mT, you can't get any safety features like auto cruise control etc. I've sort of gotten used to having those. 2. If you don't go crazy with options, it's about $67k, though you can get it cheaper if you get the...
  16. Rear seat swap between A-Spec and Type-S?

Does the arm rest get swapped over too? Is this something you can buy or you need a donor car?
  17. Rear seat swap between A-Spec and Type-S?

Curious as well but I doubt it. I’m sure the reason they removed the fold down armrest is to improve stiffness, so there’s probably more than just a different seat bottom.
  18. ITS vs F80 M3

Sorry, but if you love the ITS, you’d be crazy to buy someone’s 5 year old beat on M car. 5-6 years is when they start to go through parts like a meat grinder. I’d only buy a 5+ year old M car as a second car or track car.
  19. ITS vs F80 M3

I owned two BMW for 15 years, stuff rarely breaks, it’s rather you take it to your shop once a year and get hit over the head with all the stuff that needs replacing. What keeps me from buying another one is the non M cars drive so boring now, and the M cars are too overpowered and heavy for...
