Interesting discussion on this Reddit post. I don’t know if the person is who they say they are. If they are, there are some interesting tidbits in the comments section.
I like either the performance red to match my wife’s RDX, Alex blue which would be like Aegean blue Si, or the white with red interior.
Perhaps the yellow is for the type s like others guessed.
I’m really surprised they are pushing news this late. On the WRX, they released exact pricing and trims on the same day as taking orders. But the press had done reviews and all of that well in advance.
The only thing we know about the car is 4 door hatch, manual, leather, LSD, 1.5L turbo and...
I’m just glad I’m not the only one impatiently waiting on more details. I refresh this place and Acura’s site more often than I’d care to admit.
I would consider the type S if it was somehow less than $40k usd, and the non type-s models were less than 210hp.
Essentially I would prefer to go with the base engine, but if it’s an absolute dog and the Type-s is affordable for me, I’ll go that route.
6MT is really important too.
On my Mom’s 1995 integra, Acura included a cool package of stuff. It had a branded pen, tire gauge, flashlight, booklet and a cassette tape. I thought it was a cute touch.
I feel super arbitrary on what I want HP wise out of it. I currently own a 2019 Si so I want a small step up in performance at minimum. 220hp would definitely make me feel good about getting one in year 2. 240 or more, (essentially a GTi) has me considering a reservation.
I feel like there are...
Very true. Back in 03 Subaru got the 210hp forester to run a 5.3 0-60. The gearing was perfect for it. I often think about that car. That’s fast in 2022, in 2003, it was absurd.

I think it depends on the price and perspective. If the Type S has performance like the GTi and costs about the same, it would be a winner to me. If it’s going to have performance limitations, the value would have to come from the price.
That makes sense. I’m not certain if it’s feasible though. Looking at the WRX it runs the range of $30-41k and that’s all with the same engine output. The prospect of getting two performance levels in a $10k range would be a surprise to me.
If the type s is below 40k I’m guessing it’s going to...
Pricing got announced today. Not bad at all.

Not certain if I would buy one, as the MPG isn’t great, along with reliability. Performance wise, it is really tempting.
220hp, Awd, 6MT on the base would be fantastic. I would be very surprised if an AWD model comes with a manual. With them mentioning a LSD it feels unlikely that they meant a rear LSD. I also figure that LSD would be exclusive to 6MT models.
