This whole thing is so bizarre. They are doing reservations to see natural demand but giving people like 2 hours to decide before the reservations sell out. It’s basically forcing the issue and then when the car lands and everyone gets their deposits back what then?
idk I just don’t get this...
Disappointed, but I think most of us knew this was coming. We’ll see how the overall package plays out next week. Still going to reserve one but definitely looking elsewhere.
If true, Also confirms no AWD and no advance package. I can easily see this topping out under 36k. Which is good for...
I wouldn’t blame you. I’m reserving a car just to make sure I have it if I want it since refundable deposit and who knows when this non limited run hits dealers. My dealer saying March 8th makes more sense now that we know the embargo is 3/8 on the MDX type S lol.
I wonder if they might use the wood grains they have in other Acura models instead of plastic on the real car, not usually my thing but I think it would look better than the gray plastic where the honeycomb would normally be
I’ve mentioned it before but a big part of the Honda to Acura upgrades come in unseen places. ELS Audio, multi setting power seats with lumbar. Likely some extra NVH padding/acoustic windshield.
so I can see why some complain since on surface level it doesn’t seem like you are getting the extra...
Definitely agree on the steering wheel. The TLX Aspec steering wheel looks great and super comfy. I’m hoping that this was just a pre-production thing and the real car will have the Acura style and materials.
Kinda weird to say but I truly think the civic interior is nicer than this pre-production Integra. Might be the white interior trim throwing it off but the plastic doesn’t look good. Was hoping they’d give it the styling lines of the rest of the range.
not gonna lie I’ve come to enjoy ambient...
Same. Not something I’ve ever really done for anything.
I guess for me the time crunch of my lease ending, and personally not liking the GTI infotainment and WRX MPG means this is the last thing left to hope they don’t screw up lol
I spoke with the GM of my dealer earlier. Supposedly they expect to have more Info March 8th, not expecting anything new before then.
A little annoying since there’s no set time for ordering to start. Midnight? 7am? PST/EST/GMT? Lol
Boy I hope it’s not like buying an Xbox console where the whole website breaks as soon as it’s available to order. I’d be upset to lose out over my computer bugging out lol
yeah that’s really what it boils down to. I believed what they were selling and it seems like they clowned me good. The new Integra honestly looks amazing, but like Robb said there’s only so much you can cost cut before you say wow that’s just not worth the extra money.
Hopefully by the end of...
Don’t sell people on precision crafted performance and then sell an econobox with a CVT is my problem. I haven’t owned an Acura product but the slogan and newer cars seemed to be going the right direction. They heralded this car as the way to get people into the brand but it just isn’t living up...
First to admit you’re totally right. My wife’s CVT civic is miserable to drive so that’s where my impressions of it lie. It’s better for everything related to daily driving, but irrationally I can’t stand it. So it’s dumb but just preference for the car to feel a little more Alive
I guess I’ll...
Yep. I’m definitely not buying one if it’s got a CVT. Tried to ignore people saying Acura constantly disappoints but honestly AWD was a nice plus and oh well I’m not getting that. But that’s an insult to drop a CVT in this thing.
Honestly I’m not sure what will end up being the production Type S.
I think the major problem for Acura lies with the fact that the civic is one of the biggest compact cars. So basing the Integra off the civic saves money in design but like TigerEye said they Now need to thread a needle on...
Idk about end of year but a few that I called were expecting summer now instead of spring. Not sure if that is for the “limited” initial run or not though.
maybe we’ll get some more info soon now that Subaru dropped the WRX pricing. 42k for a CVT WRX? Lol Acura can capitalize here if they...
im lucky to have about 10 dealers within 70 miles or so (tri-state area). Hoping the one my reservation is sent to doesn’t play any games when the official pricing/paperwork is ready to be signed lol
Yeah I’m concerned about what will happen when the car finally hits my dealers grounds. Since these cars aren’t allocated and are ordered there shouldnt be markup for anyone, yet by it being only available as an order it makes it much rarer of a car. Time will tell I guess
