I really wonder how much that white paint difference across adjacent metal->plastic panels is gonna bother me. I’m really particular about these things, but white is by-far my preferred colour if the match was good.
AFAIK for Canada: White, Carbon, and Black get the red interior. Silver, Blue, TEP get the black interior.
This is why Carbon is my second choice instead of Blue: The red interior wins out for me even though I prefer Blue over Carbon, if not considering interior.
I recently made a second deposit since the original dealer is requiring a mandatory trade-in, protection packages, and accessories; The sales guy is hinting that they might relent on those requirements in a later batch of arrivals, but I’m not holding my breath. The second dealer is “only”...
Haven’t seen them talk about it recently, but I could’ve sworn they mentioned somewhere about delaying their video until they can get a few of the same-segment competitors together for a comparo.
My dealer in BC asked me for my Top 3 colour choices. But I’ll pretty much have my pick (hopefully) since I’m first in line for the Winter arrivals. They’re getting 3 or 4 this summer, with a black one still up for grabs.
The Autopian article was a fantastic read just now (since I’m at work and can’t watch any vids yet). The writer went into great detail about the exhaust sounds and the accompanying emotional aspects of it, as well as how the stereo system noise-cancels out all the noise other than the music and...
Personally (especially) looking forward to the reviews from: Throttle House, TheTopher, Savagegeese, Tedward, Everyday Driver.
Bummer that the British/Europeans won’t be reviewing this car as I’m quite fond of a few of their channels.
If I get my second choice of LCM, I’ll likely opt in for the dealer black badges option (whereas I would eventually get red badges if getting White). Do want to see pics of the Type S in LCM first.
My main preference is white, but push come to shove/take-it-or-leave-it: I would take Carbon or Blue as well. Reluctantly may also do black or Tiger Eye, but those two colours would actually detract from my enjoyment of ownership.
Vancouverite here too and also considering taking my deposit back since I’ve heard my dealer will be pulling shenanigans with forced bs accessories and protection packages.
If that’s the case, and I also can’t get my Type R that I’m on a list for, then I’ll just plan for a Miata + EV stable.
Yup, it’s a shame that he doesn’t act more… likeable online in those groups as he does seem somewhat knowledgeable with a wealth of buying and car experiences. If he hasn’t learned to be humble and less abrasive by now and realize why he’s so disliked in those groups, then he’ll never learn.
That’s brutal. My sales guy (manager?) in Vancouver has been good with communications, but I haven’t heard anything recently. I’m too far down the list of paid-deposits to really be bugging him about an allocation for the first model-year though.
