  1. Would you buy it again?

At the risk of hijacking this thread since I don’t have mine yet: I’m debating internally whether to get the Type S, or the 2024 Miata which will be the last pure-ICE MX-5. The Miata I can see myself keeping forever as a manual transmission weekend toy, while I daily something comfy and always...

I saw the ITS in white in person at Richmond and Burrard dealers, and loved how it looked from far away… almost enough to overlook the paint mismatch up close. But my preference for the black interior and the more rarity of the Apex Blue wins out. Enjoy your incoming Z, I’ve only seen one on...
  3. Canada ordering

Ah thanks for the info. I’m quite OCD too, so I think Apex Blue has become my preference now. Still unsure if I’d take Carbon or White when the time comes and I’m ready.
  4. Canada ordering

No it was Campus Acura in Victoria.
  5. Canada ordering

Got the call from my BC dealer that a white Type S is now available to me since the person in front of me backed out last minute, and I’m now first on the list. White, Carbon, and Blue were my choices, in order. Unfortunately the timing isn’t right for me as I was expecting it in the winter or...
  6. What would happen if I turned my car off without lifting the electric brake first?

I was taught to park manual cars in first gear unless facing downhill, in which case it’s parked in reverse gear. When parked facing uphill, turn your wheels away from the curb, so that if it rolls backwards, the front passenger tire immediately catches on the curb.

Congrats! I believe it when they say “no more this year” after they receive their initial few. Same deal from my dealer, informing me that the next batch are arriving no sooner than “this winter”, which could be calendar-year 2024.

Mandatory trade-in (already a dealbreaker right there), forced accessories and protection packages, and no cash purchase (lease or finance only). I’m annoyed and disappointed that this wasn’t communicated to me when I initially placed the deposit/order with them, nor at any point afterwards...
  9. Canada ordering

I got my deposit back from a Dilawri dealer - their stipulations in order to get one was way too stringent for me.
  10. Got 1!!! Performance Red Pearl Type S

Congrats, that red looks great. I also watched your entire video last evening and am happy to see a fellow long-time Honda fan acquire this car and be super-stoked with it. Subscribed and looking forward to seeing and hearing about the incoming mods.
  11. Post your delivery pics here!

True, it’ll be kept as an “internal matter”. No good would come out of telling the customer anything except “we found it, here you go” or “we’ll order you new ones”

Would be curious to hear a follow-up, both in terms of the GM eventually replacing your missing parts, as well as the employee getting fired for it. Low-integrity and low-iq people don’t last very long with companies, and I bet that person is now sweating it and trying to dodge the witch-hunt.
  13. Post Your Firsthand Thoughts on Dealer Demo Integra Type-S

Practical and high performance hatchback with a *great* manual gearbox? It’s only the Integra Type S and Civic Type R.
  14. Canada ordering

Blue might be the one to get if it’s gonna be rare. It’s my second or third choice. I stopped by a local dealer yesterday on the way home and “finally” saw the white in person (left is PDI’d and shiny, the right just came in and is dirty). Sales guy says white is by far the most popular - 2+...

Surprising and disappointing that Type S models are excluded from the loyalty rate reduction if possibly trading in a Honda/Acura. I could’ve sworn the FK8 that I was considering a few years ago, was eligible for the loyalty rate reduction however.
  16. My Integra Type S First Drive Review

My friend had a 981 GT4, and he never complained about the tall gearing either. I guess with the PDK compared to the manual (on the 718), the PDK gearing is less of a problem due to more gears, slightly closer ratios, and owners oftentimes leaving it in full automatic mode.
  17. My Integra Type S First Drive Review

Expected the reasoning to be the tall gearing in the manual! I do agree with your wife that top-down motoring kinda lends itself to being in “cruise mode” without changing gears yourself. That’s why I wouldn’t mind an eventual EV Miata to go alongside the Integra Type S.

Makes sense, the background is black anyway (the grill) for the front badge. I’d be undecided whether to get the black badges or hold out for aftermarket red badges (if getting Platinum White Pearl). Likely doing the black badges if I end up going with Apex Blue Pearl.
  19. Moonroof in type S possible in future?

I’m with you too - the ITS not getting a moonroof was a big surprise and disappointment for me. Thought the ITS would differentiate itself as the non-track, slightly luxurious cousin to the CTR with a moonroof being one of the highlight-differences. And like you mentioned, the Integra shell...

I was on the fence about the carbon spoiler due to *reading* about the intrusive install procedure, but after watching that video, I’m going to opt-out of the illuminated sill plates and carbon spoiler for sure.
