Agree. These threads aren't as helpful as people believe. 15%, 20%, 35%, can look the same depending on lighting (e.g., natural v. artificial), lighting conditions (e.g., sunrise v. sunset), quality of the photograph, brand of film, color of the car, color of the interior, whether the...
You won't receive any positive EV commentary on most ICE enthusiast forums. These conversations get political, misinformed, and unproductive very quickly.
Your best bet is to test drive the car yourself and draw your own conclusions. Don't cave to peer pressure of people telling you they're...
The exhausts will not fit without some modification. @JDM_DOHC_SiR installed the DE5 exhaust on his FL5 and while it largely lined up, some modification was necessary. And not a rejigger either, more like cutting and welding. Feel free to search the other forum if you're interested to learn more.
There are differing opinions on this depending on the source so take this for what you believe it to be worth. I've run spacers on several cars past and present on the street, including my FL5 and GT4. In most applications the effect on handling will be imperceptible to most on the street...
Yes, this is a fair callout and you may want to confirm; however, that has not been my experience. I have purchased high(er) dollar items directly from Japan and did not bear the expense of import taxes. Like most things, YMMV.
Honesty is the best policy with respect to your significant other and this car culture/obsession. I got beyond the, "Just one last car, I swear!" many cars ago. My wife now operates with the understanding that we (primarily me) will be rotating cars in and out until we're not. It's just...
Traditionally you wouldn't save money packaging because the expenses are the same whether you purchase through Hondata and then go to Phearable for the OTS map or if you buy all through Phearable. The expenses are as follows:
Flashpro Mini - $795
Jailbreak/Unlock - $250
Phearable Map - $249...
I would not recommend paying for the MyQ subscription. There's no reason to pay for this service unless you want to just give them money. A few options: 1) install a Homelink mirror; 2) use the garage door clicker; 3) use the MyQ app; 4) use an automation solution via Siri or one of the others...
A member, Point By Patrol, on the other forum is having a rough time dealing with Lockton. Take a look at the thread if you're interested.

I've owned a bridjit at a previous home. The owner John Curry was super helpful answering all of my questions pre-purchase. The product did its job. It prevented the car from scraping on a rolled curb but it constantly needed to be adjusted. It certainly wasn't a set it and forget it type of thing.
This is a non-issue. Run the filter or don't. That wildly unscientific test with the sand is preposterous btw. Your engine won't let go running a panel air filter in 99% of use cases. Maybe you would be at risk for engine damage if you ran your car for a few hundred thousand miles exclusively...
I recommend adding the rockers. Also, the a-pillar kit from the major brands typically includes the leading edge of the roof (~8"). I would include that section of film if you didn't plan on it.
A handful of chips for 45K-100K miles is amazing. I lived in Colorado years ago and the two vehicles (Acura RSX Type S and Subaru WRX STi) took on many more rock chips than a handful in far fewer miles than you've had. Teach me your driving ways.:respect:
You should expect your car to get as many rock chips as your FK8 did. Not sure how or why it would be much different. If the imperfections caused by debris hitting the car haven't bothered you much in the past, save your money. Since you've never had PPF before I presume it doesn't bother you...
Interesting and thanks for sharing. There's a fix for this and it's a simple one: people need to stop buying their shit. For going on a year, I've read countless posts on various forums and Reddit of people putting up with poor customer service and essentially begging PRL to sell them...
