I agree with a lot of what is being said. The Integra Type-S lacks much in the amenity department for being listed as a $54K vehicle.
Ideally the Type-S should be in the $48K range and the Type-R should be somewhere around that $43K range. That would be in a perfect world, but as long as there...
Well, there is something with 2.0L motors and full 3" exhaust where drone (even if mild) is unavoidable. It may NOT drone if you're doing the cat-back only.
I have a catted TSP down-pipe, PRL front-pipe and the Apexi cat-back. There is some mild drone around that 3K rpm (80 mph) highway speed...
Correct.
- Remove the electric actuator from the OEM cat-back, then plug it back into the car
- Wait 5-10 seconds and the actuator will reset.
- Install onto the new Apexi system and you're good to go.
MUCH deeper exotic tone compared to stock (it's very nice). The pops and bangs have a deeper tone too...not snappy / crackling like the OEM cat-back.
Sport+ and full throttle...People will know you're coming from a mile away.
It has very mild drone around 3K rpm when in sport or sport+ but not...
Installed the PRL front-pipe and Apexi Evo N1 cat-back to complete the full 3" turbo-back exhaust system. The Type-S now has a very deep exhaust tone and the pops & bangs also have a deeper tone opposed to the OEM snap & crackle. Under load and with the flap open, the car will definitely turn...
Some report them cracking…mine has not. I only have 9800 miles on my Type-S. For me, I hate the opaqueness of the OEM tank. You can’t see how much coolant is in the reservoir. Most if not all aftermarket tanks have sight glass to see the coolant levels.
- PRL coolant reservoir
- some Recaro neck cushions
- bought the Apexi N1 Evo cat-back
hopefully next weekend, I can install the PRL front-pipe and Apexi catback
little install weekend. Swapped out the OEM coolant reservoir for the anodized red PRL tank. Also found these neck support Recaro pillows on Amazon for $25.00…how could I not buy them at that price.
Awaiting the arrival of my Apexi N1 Evo cat-back exhaust. I have the PRL front-pipe that I’ll...
Pic Dump!
The wife and I participated in a Tuner indoor showcase car show yesterday. Was a really good time and the Type-S got a lot of looks and complements.
LET THE MODDING CONTINUE!
.
They’re easy to take off. You can pry using just your hands closest to the windshield. There’s two clips and one of them is a one time use only. Do not take off the A-pillar unless you have the replacement clip.
Once you pop the clips, you pull up gently and the A-pillar will slide off...
The modding continues.
Had Aaron at Sweidit reupholster my center armrest and visors. Also installed the Homelink mirror.
My wife and I have an indoor showcase car show tomorrow afternoon. I’ll post more pics later.
Have a little time off this week, so I installed the Homelink mirror and harness. TwoStep Performance offers a complete kit. Yet another “option” this car should’ve come with standard at this price point.
Maybe a 25-30 minute install.
