  1. 3 of the most recent posts are about rattles.

As with most opinions, it's just a matter of personal tolerance, and expectations. I'm open to the concept that maybe the rattles in my car aren't as bad as others so it's easier for me to not be bothered by it. But end of the day, if I wanted and expected a serene driving environment I'd buy a...
  2. ITS at Virginia International Raceway (VIR), 1st event

I swear every time I see a post about VIR, someone crashed. You guys can keep VIR, I'll stick to Summit and Dominion!
  3. 3 of the most recent posts are about rattles.

The rattles do not bother me one bit at this point. That's not what this car is about. Also on a side note, just switched back to my OEM PS4S from my "winter" Conti DWS06+. The Michelin are noticeably quieter inside the cabin to my ears...
  4. Paint Chip Repair

Lol yes, indeed there is. I have told it on here before, but TL;DR, I had a tank slapper during a fast slalom at an autocross school last year and all would have been fine had there not been a fire extinguisher on the ground right in the path of where I went off sideways. Left a nasty dent in...
  5. Paint Chip Repair

Removing PPF is not something I ever want to think about. Xpel offers a "lifetime guarantee" or something like that (maybe it's 10 years)... as much as I'd like to think I'll keep the car forever, I think after 10 years and thinking about pulling the PPF off, I'll come to the conclusion that...
  6. Paint Chip Repair

I don't know how much can be attributed to paint quality, honestly... you open your door into stuff and bad things are gonna happen. I mean, from my perspective the paint held up pretty well to a fire extinguisher at ~40 mph. That said, I agree that the repair looks great. No one will be able...
  7. Tow Hook Options

Just checked, at least one PCA region that does HPDE at Summit does not appear to require a front tow hook: https://pcapotomac.org/images/PCA_PotomacTechForm.pdf Really hit or miss with this issue.
  8. Tow Hook Options

Well, that's actually a pretty good question. The Friday at the Track (FATT) is run by SPMP themselves... but that's not necessarily to say that another org like, say, PCA for example wouldn't have their own rules that I could skirt around. I could look into that, because honestly the timing of...
  9. Tow Hook Options

I'm just running into the same issue that others have mentioned- can't get out of the novice group without a tow hook: If I can end up making it out to one of the events I'll prob just stick to Novice and ask during tech if they would have kicked me down if I tried to get by with the factory...
  10. Tow Hook Options

Bumping this thread. Has there been any updates on this in the past few months? Failing that, I'll float the question out to a local fab shop or two.
  11. Super Street Garage

Apparently it's on Max now because it was canceled December of 2023.
  12. What did you do to your Integra Type S today? 🙋🏻‍♂️

No tuning, straight bolt on and go. Zero drivability issues so far (knock on wood). As for fitment I did not install myself but the feedback I got from the shop that did the work was that it was not as straightforward an install as they would have preferred. They are an experienced shop that...
  13. What did you do to your Integra Type S today? 🙋🏻‍♂️

I'm very happy with it. I didn't quite know where to set expectations; I got it primarily for sound, maybe a little bump in power, and knowing that it looked like that pushed me over the edge. But now that I've put a few miles on it I can give some meaningful impressions. Sound- if you're...
  14. Jacking method for tire rotations at the track

Here I am thinking I needed to use that ridiculous front jack point. I had a HELL of a time November trying to figure out the best way to get to that stupid thing... I even bought a new floor jack, apparently a not-so-cheap lo-pro one from Harbor Freight (I paid $250 for it) AND $60 race ramps...
  15. What did you do to your Integra Type S today? 🙋🏻‍♂️

FINALLY had the intake installed, and couldn't resist getting the matching inlet tube as well. Also worth mentioning I had the EVS tuning lower ball joints installed, and brake fluid flushed and filled with Castrol SRF.
  16. Back on Track

Punishment fits the crime. That's arguably the worst spill I've ever seen lol. Looks like you did actually get rid of all of it though. That could have been a totaling event for most of us.
  17. Winter Storage

You must be talking about the 757. I grew up there. I never understood the sand/brine whatever the hell it was they put on the roads... it didn't seem to work worth a shit to me- although I'd have to think it's better than salt for rust. You can work out whatever micro-scratches that crap would...
  18. What did you do to your Integra Type S today? 🙋🏻‍♂️

I recently went through that "honeymoon is over" phase too... and ended up just circling back to the acknowledgement that there is truly no better option than the ITS for my specific circumstance. Conveniently enough, my favorite YouTuber for ITS content @Zygrene looks he had a similar...
  19. What did you do to your Integra Type S today? 🙋🏻‍♂️

If they're very young you might stand a chance. As they grow, no way. I didn't consider them so much seats as interior storage space. You'll be looking for another option as soon as they turn 5 or 6 anyway, may as well skip the effort IMHO. I really like the G87, and very likely would have...
  20. So what exactly is the Data Sharing Notification we're getting, actually sharing ?

I'm still not convinced the Type S has the telemetry module required to actually collect and send the data anyway... the features that everyone was worried about were not available on our cars. But that was never confirmed either. What's funny is that for a personal update, I did end up...
