As for this guy- again, I'll apologize in advance because this is going to come off as harsh criticism and I understand he's just doing his best trying to be a content creator...
But his content is trash. He wants to move on because he's not getting the clicks he expected, but his takes are...
Yeah, butthurt is a trigger word for me. It's just a low-iq "forum bro" move that I really wasn't expecting from you based on past interactions.
I appreciate the apology, and I'll apologize as well for leaving room for my posts to be misinterpreted. The "clapped out 350z" was in reference to a...
Use of the word "butthurt". And in poor context, no less- because I wasn't necessarily attacking you, just genuinely wondering why you choose to nearly continuously bring up things you don't like about your car that you chose to pay for... and not just that, but to spend as much time as you do...
This is just ridiculous at this point, just move on from your car lol.
Also, I don't understand why your brain maps dual center exhaust pipes to a Veloster. Bias is a strange thing, because mine goes here:
It didn't sound great but not hateful either... this engine will never sound great IMHO, but I could hear the car with my windows up which I'm pretty sure is not the case with the OEM exhaust. I'd also note he was driving responsibly so I didn't get to hear it at WOT or anything.
Definitely...
I did lol at this. I guess I'll just never stop laughing at dick and fart jokes, no matter how old I get.
The single pipe is a HARD no for me... but the dual is intriguing. An FL5 with a Tomei drove past me and I was kind of shocked at how loud it was.
I'll also throw out that I had a HIDEOUS scraping noise a few months ago that went away after a day or so. Perhaps these cars are just prone to rocks getting stuck in places that cause noises.
^this right here. It's also a $50k car, not a clapped out $10k 350z. The exhausts are priced according to what the manufacturers think people will pay, not what they're "worth".
But if they are truly overpriced, the market will correct itself as these things start sitting on shelves, or OEMs...
^This is a great example of why I'll probably never get ultra-serious about racing. It feels like so much of it is subjective, and dependent on this nebulous concept of "driver style".
Also, and just know this isn't a direct response to you, it's just a reaction based on years of personal...
I'm not sure quite what it is exactly that makes my brain slowly turn off when reading about suspension physics. I'm not denying that I might just be dumb, but I think it's more that I feel like you just kind of have to be a true expert to really be of much use when it comes to topics like this...
I think it’s a fair assessment that swapping springs only is not ideal for track performance. Many would argue that springs with factory dampers would actively hinder performance. Personally I don’t think I’d agree… and I think most folks agree that the extra camber you get with springs (in the...
Sure enough is the Borla. I do remember a clip I watched a while ago of Borla working with HRC on one of their race cars. I still have yet to hear clips of the production version.
Yeah- it may seem like there aren't a lot of options but there are actually a good amount to get started. And honestly- I think this is about all we're gonna get. Let me take the opportunity to remind everyone that they don't make this car in Japan, so there's no reason for a Japanese...
There are a few threads on here that do a decent job at showing visual examples of the various springs out there. I'll do a quick rundown off the top of my head of what I recall the general consensus to be for various springs I was considering; hopefully compete with something an AI would spit...
I don't. I tried several times to duplicate the noise again this morning- it's gone.
My guess is a loose tie rod that was buttoned up when the alignment was done. That's all I got...
