Yep! I stuck mine to the dead pedal on the DE5, and got TuxMats for the FL5 and stuck that one to the mat. The tape is concerningly strong, I imagine it'd stick to just about anything. ?
I bought the aluminum dead pedal cover, which blocks the only TuxMat logo I was overly concerned about (aka the one in my 25% of the car!), but I haven't seen any options for covering the other logos.
If there's a want, I'm sure there are plenty of makers who can put something together fairly...
I've been in touch with them about the event in Marysville on Sunday--they'll be doing on-site jail breaking, and it's first come/first served. Javier said the process takes ~30 minutes.
Another plug for TuxMats--I don't know Lloyd Mats, but after one set of TuxMats, I'm not bothering with OEM all-season mats/trays or Husky Mats/WeatherTech again.
So I received my wheels and tires QUICKLY (~3 days), but it actually just occurred to me that I've received nothing regarding my mail-in rebate--it looks like this might be one of those rebates they prefer you forget about.
Planning to get mine submitted today, thank you for the reminder!
Redline Review's first look at the '23 A-Spec + Tech highlighted that there were USB-C's in the back, but they were dropped for USB-A's by delivery time--probably one of those opportunities for improvement Honda likes to create for itself. Or a parts shortage. Take your pick.
The process of installing ceramic from prep through the actual coating is surprisingly enjoyable--I suspect most shops are going to charge you $800+, whereas most decently patient/observant people will be able to DIY a similar coating for ~$200 and 5 hours of work.
I recommend CarPro CQuartz...
I had a buzz in the dashboard that was present from 0-35mph and picked up volume or frequency toward 3,000 RPM. By 35mph or 4th gear, it somehow disappeared. It sounded like it was coming from the HUD area or from behind the head unit, but I couldn't feel it with my hand and pressing around...
I haven't come up with one quite so good since I nearly got "BOOZE" for my license plate in college.
A saint at the DMV convinced me to scrap that plan, and I'm very glad I did.
Ohio has made vanity plates so cheap that you almost look completely uncreative if you don't opt to get one.
I ran a few ideas through the availability search and they've been taken. I'll keep thinking on it!
**I take it back, I do believe I've struck gold, @nix6speed !!!
I negotiated a package deal for $843--illuminated front emblem in black, pattern projectors, and illuminated door sills (parts and labor). I didn't have them itemize it because, frankly, there's no way that price wasn't a mistake and I wanted to ink it before it was caught.
I think Acura...
I've got a couple of things left, and thought I'd offer a post-Labor Day get-them-out-of-my-office sale:
Type-S OEM Door Sills - $50 + Shipping / These were removed for install of the illuminated door sills, and still have the protective film on them with pins in perfect shape. If you're...
So many things about buying a car are awful right now (supply shortages, sales tactics, markups, interest rates, etc.), but being able to shift from one to the other at little/no cost through appreciation/limited depreciation is pretty awesome.
You can't go wrong with either car... but both...
Well if there's a correlation between "special-ness" and being first, then the FK8 wouldn't have that either since the DC2 was the first Type-R in the US... but I think any new(er) car is going to struggle to carry that same level of "special". I think it's much bigger than NA vs Turbo--cars...
