Hey all, just looking to see if this setup would work, or if i would rub at all, and if so, what the recommendation would be.

I'll be lowering on Eibach Prokit springs and Bonoss spacers 15mm front/20mm rear on stock wheels. If i set my camber to -1.5 all around, would that cause any issues with rubbing?

Appreciate y'alls help.

Hey, do you have a rear camber kit? That’s the only way you’ll be able to get to -1.5 camber in the rear after lowering. I have exactly -1.5 camber in the rear by way of the Eibach rear camber kit (adjustable rear upper control arms)

As far as rubbing goes, I have the same spacer combo and lowered, and only rub on steep speed bumps.

Thanks for your help! I did pick up spc rear camber arms as well. If I went -2 all around would that prevent the rubbing altogether even on larger bumps?

Anytime!

I also have exactly -2 upfront and still rub. The RS-R springs I have advertise a 1” drop in the front, which is identical to the Pro-Kit. Assuming that’s accurate and you come across large speed bumps like I do, you’d likely rub. Note, front camber isn’t adjustable unless you have adjustable front lower ball joints.

If you wanna be more conservative, consider H&R springs, as that’s less of a drop.

do you have the spacers with the studs attached? I had trouble with 20 mm spacers that bolted to the hub. The studs were too long to clear 20 mm and rubbed into the back of the OEM wheel. I currently have 25 mm all around with no issues. Lowered on pro kit

The DE4 and DE5 have different front ends, so your experience may be different.

Car looks good though!

This is one of the clowns who announced his intent to put me on his ignore list so somebody translate this for him.

First of all, how exactly do you plan to "set" the camber in the front? What you see is what you get. There is no factory adjustability for camber, and even the aftermarket options are limited. I went with EVS lower ball joints, whiteline and I believe J's racing have branded options too but they all accomplish the same function. You'll get a set of 3 options for camber; factory, -1, and -2 degrees. At factory setting, after lowering, expect camber somewhere around -1.5 in the front anyway, not far away from stock at all. You can get up to another -.5 by removing the alignment pins in the strut towers. Any more adjustability with that you'll need to look into camber plates, which at that point may as well consider coilovers. That's what I should have done.

You mention you got the camber arms for the rear, they'll be necessary to get to -1.5 but since you're going with spacers you might need to leave them where they'll land after lowering, which should be somewhere between -2 and -2.5. If you do nothing after lowering, you'll have more negative camber in the rear than the front leads to shitty cornering near the limit as it induces understeer, but you won't notice unless you drive the car at or near 10/10ths.

In neither case do I imagine you'll encounter any rubbing. People have gone up to 10 inch wheels and +35 offset with no reported rubbing, even after lowering. More camber doesn't hurt these cars though and to my experience setting mine to -3.5 helps turn in dramatically (especially after lowering). I did chew to the inner cords pretty quickly but 100+ autocross runs tends to be pretty rough on tires.

So TL;DR, you probably wasted your money on the rear camber kit, but you should look into doing something about the front. Or better yet, just jump straight to coilovers with adjustable camber plates.

You quite honestly have some sort of problem and must be real fun at parties. You are constantly negative about everything. Always seem to be on some sort of “attack mode” for some reason. I ask a question and you come on here and the first thing out of your petty mouth is, “this clown”? đŸ€Ł. All I have to say is that you’re one toxic piece of trash and this is the last I’m even going to entertain your angry nonsense. Beauty of the internet 😁. Have a nice day, sir.

for everyone else? Thank your for your helpful responses!

I do hold grudges. But you can try saying sorry, you know where to find me.

OR..... I could just resort to name calling, try to get some sort of last word in and then let everyone know I'm putting you on my ignore list. I could do that, but I'm a grown up. ;)

I have been running prokit since it debuted with bonos 15mm/20mm spacers and zero rubbing factory wheels with 275/30/19 dws06 tires and 265 ps4s tires. I did get an alignment and spc rear camber arms. Pulled pins and front and rear are set at -1.6 camber.
