This weekend I installed the Hybrid Racing short shifter, some Two Step Performance titanium bolts for the engine cover, a fancy Spoon oil filler cap, and Mugen inner door protectors.

I dropped a flange blot into my carpet. After I spent hours looking for it (even bought a snake camera from Harbor Freight lol), I gave up and left it. I don't hear it rattling around at all, no idea where it could have gone. Oh well!

The short shifter is amazing, and the other vanity items made me feel less like a loser from losing the flange bolt.

Does the shifter come with instructions to take off the center console?

Thanks for the reply! Sounds like good stuff. Still waiting for my HR shifter to ship out. I look forward to all the benefits you mentioned especially it enhancing the driving experience.
And to your other post, I had a feeling you wouldn’t like the Spoon shift knob. Too light weight! With a short shifter, having a knob with more weight to it usually feels better???

I have about 12,500 miles on my car, and got it at the end of July '23 (I was a lucky preorder).

The throws feel notchier and it makes driving feel even more engaging. It's a bit tighter and a bit more effort for shifting, but it's mild. I was used to it in about ten minutes.

I've heard from other folks that once you use it for a few days, the shifter gets "broken in" and is a bit more compliant.

And of course, the throws are shorter, so there's that too

I went on vacation to Japan a little while ago and picked up a few small goodies from Super Autobacs. Also rented and FD2R to drive around for a day and did the pilgrimage to Daikoku PA!

Also stopped by Tsukuba Circuit. Rreally surreal to see a track I play all the time in Gran Turismo in person.

Anyways, as far as the small parts go, I got a Mugen Oil Cap, Spoon Air Cleaner, Spoon Reservoir Cover, and Mugen Door Protectors.

Very satisfied with the added induction sound from the Spoon Filter, I feel like such a kid hearing the woosh.

Definitely recommend going to Japan at least once! Even beyond car culture, the food, the architecture is just something else, and you can find things for just about any hobby.
