Anyone running the Apex 18 X 9.5 EC-7 in 58mm? Seems like a great option. I’m thinking of doing it in Race Silver since they’re on sale. Close to stock offset, but in an 18… scrub radius is almost spot on, can still do SCCA events, etc.

18x8 Enkei Raijin (+42 offset) with 235/40/18 Vredestein Wintrac Pros. Looks great, but drives....exactly as you might expect a winter tire compared to the Pilots.

Hopefully we don't get much snow this year, but if we do I'll be ready!

Getting my winter tires on Friday, ended up going with 255 35 R19 Michelin Pilot Alpin.

Honestly, I'm not sure what offset and all that means lol

The Alpin 5's on Tire rack ( in 18") are MO1 Mercedes specific. Anyone know if buying a brand specific tire and putting them on a different car is a bad idea? I have to decide this tire situation out fast

Just a custom compound. I can't imagine any issue though as the class of the tire is what your after. Winter tire is still a winter tire. Just my opinion, nothing factual to back it up. I'd try it with no hesitation if that's the tire you want.

Thanks all before me that posted offering lots of perspectives, which very much helped me nail down the setup that works best for me. Just took delivery last weekend so I really couldn’t enjoy the sticky rubber very much, as temps are low here already. But here is my cold weather set up. Enkei Triumphs in gloss black. 255-35-18 Bridgestone Potenza Sports (AS).

Man that looks really sharp! The gloss black wheels match up with the car really nicely. I love the Black with the red interior combo too. The Type S looks sooooo good in black.

Doesn't mean anything. I got this exact tire through my Acura dealer. I've only had them in wet so far and they're awesome.

I just read that MO1 is AMG spec, and if it's good enough for them it's good enough for anyone.

Got mine on, and of course Chicago is now unseasonably warm. Have to admit though, I think I like how the +45 offset looks and fills out the fender. But have to go back to OEM to get the optimal scrub radius. Decided on Flow One F5s and Conti DWS06 all-seasons. They handle really well and I'm really happy with them.

Any updates on the drive. I have the same setup on the way now. Performance will see a big decrease , but that’s why we have the other 9 months!

I went with 245/35/19 Pilot Alpin PA4's on stock wheels.

Of course it's a drop off in raw traction over the summer tires in their peak season but its a million times better than those summer tires in the cold. When it dropped below 40 the summer tires are like riding on an oil slick.

The car still drives well, isnt any louder, corners well etc. Once snow starts flying here in the Boston / NH area I'll have better idea on snow/ice grip.
