The end of July into early August seemed to have a good bit of cars coming through the area but after that it seemed to have slowed to a trickle. It’s almost like the cars manufactured in August went to other regions.
Exactly. I passed on a color that the dealer offered and said was inbound - they called around Aug 10th? and it still shows in transit to them along with a second car whose production was also in Aug.

Cars built in July went from in transit to the dealer then sold to customer in a matter of 2-3 weeks back then.

I have hit the next stage in the denial process. I’m never getting a car.
1500miles later I'd say it's worth the wait.
I concur, worth the wait. ITS has barely been out for two months. If you can get a good deal by waiting plus it gives you time to get finances in order if you need to as well as consider all options. So many reviews have come in by this time that it should be clear what kind of quality vehicle this is

Agreed! I know it will be worth the wait. Just seems like it’s been a longer wait because I’ve been waiting for the type s since they announced the base model ( like most if not all of you ).

At this point I'm worried my dealer will just never get my color combo and I'll be S.O.L

I was on the waitlist 6 months but was still 12th position on the list. The dealer I worked with was willing to do MSRP, but only 4 allocations for all of 2023, they said I likely wouldn’t get one til late 2024. Got quite lucky as everyone ahead of me either wanted different colors or no accessories.

The sales manager helped me out since he knew I was serious about buying the car and ready to buy it immediately, offered the white demo to me. They also gave me a discount but I had to buy the copper wheels, black emblems, wing and alcantara steering wheel already on the car. Since they were able to get those priced very close to oem prices I pulled the trigger. Since there’s no ADM and I liked these accessories anyway, I figured I did not want to wait til 2024 and this is my first color choice anyways.

That said, I was fully prepared to wait til 2024. Now having 1700 miles on it, I would still wait. No other vehicle I would rather have in this class and price segment

So are they done with blue and black
Why don’t you just pick up the first car with the interior color that you want? I didn’t get my exterior color, but I got the interior color I wanted. Just asking. My dealer got apex/black after I picked up mine. I think they’re done until November.

One thing I learned from the CTR is that you can’t be picky. The car is good looking in every color. (Unless you already have a car in a color which I understand, but still just asking).

I don’t think Blue /black is done yet. I have seen some hit as late as this weekend on the website in different areas. I’ve been stalking the inventory like an obsessed nut. Anyone else think it’s weird they don’t offer the blue w red ? The white w orchid is a TBD color option , but to me blue w red would be a good combo.

Agreed. My '20 S4 was dark blue with red seats. Definitely a combo that works.

I agree the ITS is great in every color, but I plan to wait until my first choice is available. I have my deposit placed and now it's just a matter of time. Plus, I would be a little annoyed if I accepted a different color and then my first choice arrived weeks later.
