Both the Supra and FL5 had markups, and I’m just not willing to pay a penny over MSRP. So the DE5 it is — and honestly, it’s an incredible driver’s car for the money. Plenty of performance, great daily usability, and all without breaking the bank.

I was unaware the Supra still had markups. For just the manual I assume? There's just too many of them out there on the used market at this point for that to make any sense... unless it's a "manual tax" because Toyota sat on it for a few years before actually making it available. I can see how that could be a thing...

But yeah, despite FL5 guys' best efforts to convince everyone that the fact the DE5 doesn't have a markup is somehow a concession of inferiority, the DE5 is a bargain at its price point.

Does the FL5 even have markup at this point?

All the dealers in my area are charging msrp or a few grand under if you fight for it. I've heard from several people they got theirs for 45k or less. One guy said 43.5k ootd, but apparently that's because it had some shipping damage he was willing to be okay with.

I still see at least 1 or 2 ctr per week in my area. Still haven't seen another its.
