I have a PRL RMM ready to install. That's easy.

Then I was looking at the shifter cable bushings from Acuity -- much more involved. You have to remove the battery, air box, charge tubes, and more to get to it for such a small upgrade. Worth it? Probably not, except that I'm going to install a 27WON air intake anyway, which requires removing the battery and the airbox.

So then I thought hey if I'm removing charge tubes to install the shifter cable bushings, I might as well upgrade those while I'm in there with 27WON's charge tubes. Red would look nice, even if I don't have any good performance reason to upgrade those right now.

So that's rear motor mount, shifter cable bushings, charge tubes, and air intake. Is there anything else I might as well do while I'm in the neighborhood? Especially things that would require me to remove the pieces I'm installing right now? I'm not interested in taking off the front bumper at this time fwiw

Thanks for any tips

I’ve changed plenty of oil, not in this car though. Never done transmission fluid but not afraid to. Curious though, why do you recommend better transmission fluid? That’s not something I ever think about or know much about.

My car had the 2nd gear grind and would lock out 4th gear momentarily at high RPMs. I adjusted the clutch and it fixed the 2nd gear grind but still had a bit of 4th gear lockout. I swapped to AC Delco Synchromesh Friction Modified and it instantly goes into 4th gear and it shifts a tad smoother overall. Any way for me it was worth it and since all oils are not created equal I would do it again! Hope this helps!

Thinking you shouldn't have to remove the battery to install the air intake

I'd heavily consider the turbo inlet and front pipe. The RMM is easier to install when you have the FP out. The turbo inlet will need to mate to the new air intake so it'd be a pretty simple "while you're in there," but not a big deal if you install it later.

Front tower strut is an easy add, and to me, a night and day difference on body roll.

Annnd since you have the fp off, might as well replace the dp! Lol. I did dp, fp, rmm, and exhaust in one install

You don’t have to remove the charge pipes to do the shifter bushings. You just need to remove the battery to get at them.

The RMM is easy if you have the stock front pipe still installed. If it’s an aftermarket front pipe, then you’ll need to remove that to get the RMM in and out.
