Hey ladies and gents, pulled my bumper off to swap out a new lower grill (previous owner had a dent on the lower part of grill. Also installed EOS front lip. I have everything lined up clip wise and flush wise on the whole left side and middle, and the right fender side is flush. The part of the bumper that wraps around the top of the head light, for the life of me can’t get it to sit right.

It has that weird piece that’s part of the bumper and connected, but can’t see how it can lay any other way. You can see in the pic how it’s bowed and the gap difference above the headlight.

Also, I stupidly didn’t know that you can’t turn the key with the parking sensor unplugged, as I know have errors upon start up. Can this clear up with pulling the neg on battery, or am I going to need a Honda/ Acura dealer to do that?

I've had similar fitment issues recently when I changed my bumper because a clip didn't fit just right.
There is a support bracket between the headlight and the top garnish piece. This garnish attaches to the support bracket with 4 clips. My suspicion is that one of the clips is misaligned.

I will look at that garnish again, that’s the piece I was talking about that kinda just sat on top and didn’t see how it could fit any different. I’ll look closer and see if anything is misaligned.

pulled the neg on battery, and still have the warning lights. Still not sure if an OBD2 scanner could clear it, or if I would have to go to dealer

I suspect you’re getting a parking system warning light.
If my memory serves me right, it will need a VSA calibration/initialization which can be done with a scan tool. Dealer can certainly do that but if you know someone with a scan tool, it’s a 5 minute fix.

If you’d like, I can send you some screenshots from my Autel of how to do it.

Here’s some pics after I lifted that piece back up. I don’t really see anything out of alignment? Looked back at pics to make sure car wasn’t like that before and it def wasn’t haha.

It looks like this clip isn’t seating properly.

Pull the garnish forward and slide it back over the headlight rather than pushing it down.
Then press down the edge that butts up to the fender to clip it in.

So that support bracket are you saying is clipped in wrong to the garnish of the bumper? Or the support bracket isn’t clipping into top of headlight correctly? So try and pull the whole garnish with the support bracket towards me, and slide in on top of headlight? I feel like I’ve kinda been trying that, but if you feel

something is misaligned I will certainly continue to play with it before taking it to a shop. To me it looks like that support bracket needs to be pushed up, but won’t go up to clear space and not have that gap.

Positive note, car looks good with front lip, and new grill!

Finally got a chance to get you some screenshots of how to clear the parking sensor warning. This may look different based on the scan tool but this is what Autel looks like.
It may or may not need the VSA calibration.

1: Once a connection is established tap Diagnose

2: You can do an Auto Scan or find the Control Unit manually. I recommend Auto Scan.

3: You will get this screen after the scan. Any control units with codes will appear at the top with "Fault". Tap the arrow on the right to go directly to the control unit menu. Parking sensor faults will be in "Body Electrical".

4: Scroll through the different selections and tap Parking Sensor.

5: This will bring up a function menu. Read and Erase the codes. This should clear your warnings.

6: If a VSA calibration is needed, go to the Control Unit menu and select ABS/VSA. Select Adjustment from the function menu similar to the one above. This will bring up this screen:

7: Select "All Sensor" and follow the directions:

I don't think the calibration will be needed but that's how its done. I needed the calibration because I replaced the steering rack, parking sensor may just need the codes cleared.

As far as the bumper, have you tried removing that support bracket from the garnish? Could be something not lining up there. When I took mine apart I left the bracket attached and had no issues when reinstalling.

Thanks man! Really appreciate it! Yeah when I took the bumper off I left that support bracket attached as well, which is why I was confused with the trouble. I’ll try and take it off and see if something’s off, if not I have a good body shop that can hopefully get me right lol

should this one suffice?

I’m not sure if that one will work but worth a shot, return it if it doesn’t.
The one I have is a tablet but if this one will allow you to have access to the body electrical control unit, it should work.
