Hey guys, I’ve been driving a manual car since 09, and it was an 06 Rsx type S. Really the only manual car I’ve driven regularly until the Integra. I had a hard time with smooth shifts with the Integra, and really couldn’t figure out why.
Recently started leaving my foot on the gas pedal, and...
Yeah I think it depends on which advisor you get, even though he said he would have the techs look at it. Not sure how you can be comfortable saying this is normal, nor would I describe my movements anywhere near “extreme” as he put in the notes on the service. Like what a joke
Went to the dealer today, showed him this noise, which sounds like a 100 year old recliner when you put any sort of weight on it. Normal movements, shifting… this is “normal”. In their report, said doesn’t make noise unless “extreme movements are made”… like shifting gears in the car and moving...
To follow up on this, still need to go to dealer to have looked at; and haven’t wanted to start prying myself- mainly because I’m looking at the part, and my top 3 buttons are crooked, and the parking break and brake hold button are perfectly straight. So I’m wondering how that could be looking...
Went to dealer because there was a nice chip in one of the door jams that went all the way to metal, and had surface rust on it. These geniuses' just put touch up paint on top of the rust spot. I did purchase an appearance package plan, but honestly it says it doesn't cover paint chips in the...
Honestly I posted something similar recently about hearing a louder engagement from 1-2. I acutally hear it less when I go up to 3k or higher, and hear it more at lower RPMs. Someone said its normal and just the countershaft and the way the transmissions are made.
Thanks for the reply! I was actually going to say I don’t hear the same clunk when I shift from 1-2 at a higher rpm like 3k or above. Happens at lower rpm’s and shifting from 1-2 early.
Yeah def doesn’t do it with car off. And really I think I would extend where I heard it even more to when the windows are down. It’s just like a stronger engagement, doesn’t sound wrong really, just louder. I’m guessing it’s linkage related as well. Also maybe because I’m used to second/ 3rd...
