Hey ladies and gents, I got a battery powered air inflator which seems to work well/ has lifetime warranty. I filled my tires when they were cold (next morning) to 35 front 33 rear. The car reads like 4 under all around. When they are completely warm (like after a 20 min drive to work) they are exactly reading 2 under (33 front 31 rear). Is this normal? Which one should I trust the inflator or the TPMS? Thanks all

Buy another gauge or go to one of those gas stations with the digital pumps that turns off when you reach the set PSI. If the pressures match your car's readout, the problem is your inflator. If it matches your inflator, the problem is likely the car.

I wouldn’t trust the gauge on the inflator. Buy an accurate tire pressure gauge. I have a Jaco which claims to be 0.5% of reading accurate. The TPMS sensors in my car track with the gauge.

Longacre makes reliable gauges. The inflator gauges are always off. I've found the tpms to be within 1 psi of reality so I'd trust them more, but they do take about 5 miles of steady driving to get there.

With how low profile these tires are, 3 psi makes a fairly sizable difference.
