Has anyone found an option for adding a soft-touch surface to the top-most section of the rear door panels?

It bothers me that this portion of the front doors was covered with a soft-touch surface but the rears just have hard plastic.

I did some searching last night, but couldn't easily find something that appeared to match our interior. Has anyone found a material with a similar color / texture, etc. to the front doors / dash?

I didn't make it soft touch, but I did add butyl and agg foam to the backside of the panel. That uplifts the feel dramatically. It's still hard plastic, but it's no longer cheap and hollow. The density, echo, and feel is greatly improved.

Yep -- I did the same, and I'd recommend the approach to anyone reading. It definitely improves the impression you get when interacting with the doors. That's actually what motivated me to start looking for some kind of vinyl that mimics the surface up front.

I think my favorite result is the window switches. Interacting with them now actually feels "solid" and expensive since adding butyl around the button and to the plastic panel back.

You did the top panel on the switch modules? Looks like I'll be doing that when I go back in to refresh my green clips this weekend.

Oh yeah. Any plastic area that echoed I threw a tiny bit of butyl on. Doesn't take much for it to go from Chinese toy to German toy (I joke here, but my parents bought my son some German toys and omg the plastic quality is on another level).

There is a guy on ebay that makes some pieces in Alcantara , allot of parts are interchangeable between civic and integra. I'm also sure he can make what you want if you message him. I just ordered the door switch panel and cluster surround that I am waiting on. https://www.ebay.com/itm/356349788260
Looks like a cost effective solution for some nice touch-point updates, and I appreciate the suggestion. Unfortunately, it's not quite what I'm looking for. A big reason I was looking to do the rear doors isn't just the fact that they are hard-touch plastic, but it's that they are inconsistent from the material on the front doors. The way I'm wired, if I did the top half of the rear doors in alcantara, I'd want to do the top half of the front doors in alcantara, too... and if I did the front doors, I'd want to do the top of the dash, and if I did the dash, I'd want to do the airbag cover, haha. 🤷‍♂️

Having said that, I could be interested in some of these pieces for other areas. If you don't mind sharing your feedback when you get yours, that would be great.

So I got one piece out of 2 so far that I ordered. I had ordered the panels that go around the window switches and the bezel that goes around the tachometer. I got the tach bezel and its those cheap fake carbon trim pieces with the alcantara glued to it. For the price I cant complain as it looks decent and better than the plastic trim imo.

Installed them today , not bad for the price . The color is a bit off but it adds a comfy touch imo and better than the plastic . I will say when I had my type s I did dry carbon and liked it better but those also cost over $200 for the set and I don’t mind these compared to the stock plastic .
