The PRL Motorsports aluminum Coolant Expansion Overflow Tank replaces the unattractive, factory plastic tank with this sleek and sturdy aluminum tank that better fits the aesthetics underneath the hood of your car. The internal volume of our Coolant Expansion Tank is equivalent to the factory tank, resulting in no coolant loss.

Our expansion tank is constructed of TIG-welded, 3mm thick aluminum and anodized gloss black durability. Each tank includes a billet aluminum cap, sight glass and custom lower fitting to fit the factory coolant line. This kit requires no modification for installation and reuses all factory hardware.

Over time, heat cycles and age can cause plastic coolant tanks to fail. Fortunately, our aluminum replacement improves heat-transfer due to its superior thermal conduction properties, and resists high coolant pressures commonly associated with race engines!

Technical Notes:
  • (1) 1-Piece Aluminum Tank w/ Integrated Mounting Bracket
  • (1) Adapter Fitting
  • (1) Billet Overflow Cap
  • (1) Sight Glass

Type S in the house!
Does this fit the Type S?
No. Type S is a different design and attachment points. I purchased an FK8 mishimoto unit and it's great.
