man that sounds like a nightmare.

im not gonna sit on it though and let them keep repairing it; with my luck, i'll be the one on the side of the road with a blown up engine lol. plus while i swap it i'll get to feel like a master mechanic for 20 minutes

on another note, back to the tank/coolant- is it worth rinsing out the tank before i install it? should i swish a little bit of fluid through it just to make sure it doesn't have metal shards or debris in it from the machining/welding process? i don't mind wasting a little bit of fluid for that since i ordered a whole jug.

I don't have the tank so can't comment on the debris part, but I believe the idea of flushing it is very smart. I'd just use distilled water so you don't have to waste any coolant.

On a side note, I almost always use water wetter, whether running pure distilled water or 50/50 coolant mix. It has some good benefits, but it does add some cost on top. Engines that get extra toasty generally see benefits. If you don't drive it hard, it won't make a big difference.

oh yeah i have one other question

i have all of the stuff i need now, just waiting for the weather to stop being so fucking annoying. but the instructions from PRL say to just ambiguously "fill the tank" after installing it. i know the mishimoto tank has an actual fill line on it, but the PRL one doesn't and the instructions don't give any specificity as to how much/where to fill, just to use the port window to eyeball it.

anyone know what the proper fill amount would be?
