New (used) owner here!

I was searching for a new '26 double apex blue or white DE5, and actually found dealers willing to do 2K under MSRP here in the SF Bay Area.. I was going to buy one, but decided to wait til after new years to see if there would be anymore discounts.

In searching I found a used single owner clean carfax '24 white with 20K miles for $39K. I felt it was a good deal, but the car is in FL - i'm in CA. The dealer was really easy to work and shipping is $1500. I pulled the trigger on the car, but now awaiting shipment.

I also previously had a '24 FL5, and I sold it after a year of ownership because I rarely drove it. I plan on driving the DE5 much more and am super excited.

The other 2 sports cars in my garage is my AP1 S2K , and a 981 GT4. I think the DE5 will fill in the gap perfectly. The DE5 actually replaces my M2 Comp.

Hopefully the car will be delivered sometime after new years!

And yes! I will be ordering the OEM copper wheels for the DE5!

Noice. Lots of former M2 owners in here, a couple of them very active members.

HRC should have some wheels you might be interested in- but the offset changes to +45.

I’m planning to get those white 19” HRC wheels as soon as my dealer lets me know they can source them. I’m hoping sometime before the summer, since I’m planning to just swap the stock PS4s onto them. I’m running my 18” winter setup right now.

I absolutely loved my M2 comp, I actually regret selling it and may get another someday. With a few other sports cars, I just wanted something more practical with 4 doors. The last few months I've been thinking about the FL5/De5 a bit. I decided to go De5 as I didn't want to buy the same car and the de5 actually addressed some of the stuff I wish the FL5 had like heated seats, parking sensors and a much better stereo.

Both cars drive pretty much the same which is what I wanted.

Totally understand. My dad’s got an F87 and it’s an absolutely incredible car. The ITS is a lot more family friendly and makes a lot more sense for my current situation but that M2 is just a blast to drive…
