What is the most aggressive offset and width currently being run? I'm in the market for new wheels and the offset restrictions will determine the style I go with.
What kind of tire are you trying to run? You can get more aggressive with a 265 summer tire vs a 275 200TW.
Also what suspension setup? I'm on Eibach Pro-kit springs.
Case in point, I have 18x10 +40 on 275/35-18 Bridgestone RE-71RZ and it just barely rubs. Not a mm to spare, but the RZ are still new and pretty much everyone is reporting they are wider than the RS model they replaced. WAAAY wider than an equivalent summer tire like a PS4S. I also have aggressive front camber at -3.5 degrees. It rubs more in the rear where the camber is still there but not as aggressive at -2.5. I don't think I could get any more aggressive than this setup.
I've seen folks running 18x10.5 +45ish I believe on 285 but I think those were Continental all-seasons IIRC, but I'll let them chime in. I'm almost positive there is more room on the Civic Type R (one dude reported running 315 on an 11 inch wheel, don't know what offset...) so don't base your judgement off what they say will fit, just a suggestion.
I'm running stock suspension, 285/30 PS4Ss, a s 19x10.5 et 48, and I have room to spare.
@optronix I believe the guy running 315s on the FL5 was running a 30 profile tire on an 18" wheel. I had checked that setup a couple times when doing research for my fitment.
