Knocking/clunking noise AFTER Eibach Pro Kit Springs + Front Sway bar Links install

Driving down relatively smooth straight road or roads. Eibach springs + sway bar links installed in unison because I stripped one of the oem links during spring install. Links are DuraLast from AZ.

Clunking/banging type noises are random and can happen on any type of road.

turns out it might be that the 20 mm spacer in the front end require a little fabrication of the back of the stock wheel. anybody have this trouble?

I had this problem after installing the whitelinesway bar with accord end links on my type S. I had it on the stiffest setting and I think the nuts were backing themselves out. Took it to my garage and we double nutted the end link to keep it secure

Time for wheels. Until then you can just grind the interfering material out of the wheel. It won't take much.

I did the same thing, springs and sway all at once. There was no weight on the wheels when I torqued everything down for the sway bar. Had a knocking issue. Took the car back to the mechanic, put it up on alignment rack so the car was sitting like it would on the ground, and loosened the sway bar bracket(s), and the bar "un-twisted" itself. Torqued those bolts back up and noise was gone.

With the spacer being 20 mm and the oem stud being greater than that. It caused the surfaces to NOT be flush.

Bummer. Knew that was an A-spec issue, but didn't realize we were talking about spacers. Thought we were talking about lowering springs, sway bar issues... Upside is now you know where you need to grind out the back of those wheels just a bit..

this has got to be my issue. just test drove without spacers in front. and the noise persisted. going to take a look at the sway bar tomorrow
