Just purchased a new Urban Gray Type S this past weekend.
This vehicle is going to be primarily used as a daily driver, so I plan to do minimal mods to it, at least thats the idea.
I’m no stranger to modifying cars and live in the PNW.

I think you might be the first who has "dual-owned" a G80 and a DE5 on this forum. That's an interesting combo; best of both worlds from a sports sedan perspective but a little redundancy, right? Just curious of what led you down the path of the DE5 vs something like a Miata or a Supra to augment your G80... unless the mods you've made to it have made it less practical.

But then you've also got the Taco and Jeep... also a bit redundant so to each their own lol.. Sounds like a fun garage.

Well, it was the wife's idea. She wanted a car that she can also drive manual "around town" without worrying or damaging anything. On sunday, while running errands we happened to pass by the Acura dealer, took a look to see if they had any ITS, she sat down in it, and wanted it without a test drive. One of her first vehicles, before we met, was a 2dr integra, so it made it an easy sell with just the name alone.

No supra or miata. I'm too tall to fit comfortably in those vehicles.
Rubicon and Tacoma: I live in the PNW. You have to have a vehicle that will get you up rocks and mountain snow. They both suit the purposes needed for when the duty calls.

I've put a lot of time and money into the G80 and am happy with it as is right now. 836hp/702tq were my dynohub numbers granted it is a 6 speed manual. Here's some pics to view.

6spd means it's RWD right? That sounds like a riot but terrifying with that much hp/tq!

Yes, RWD. Beadlocks on nt555r2's for the rears during summer time. Hook and gone :)

That explains it- and I guess in the PNW a convertible makes less sense lol. That G80 is a monster, and the trucks are both great too. Definitely a fun garage.

The DE5 slots in as a sedan with pinnacle driving dynamics. I'd argue significantly better steering and chassis feel than the G80- but yes, the G80 is far more capable. And not even in the same conversation as far as power. But I've had a series of M cars, Audi RS5, and several P cars- the Integra is among the best to drive of all of them on a decent road. Or just in general- although the auto Audis with the ZF were better in DC traffic... I also love that I don't feel the need to be precious with it. I treat it like a car, and I enjoy it more that way than I did for something like the 911 I had, where I literally had a mental block that held me back while I was on a racetrack. And I was always self-conscious pulling up for customer meetings... For anyone wondering, yes- that defeats the purpose. Also I never would have dreamed of putting my big ass dog with his big ass nails and slobber in any of my Porsches.

The car just fits like a glove, and is absolutely perfect for where I'm at in my life right now.

Your wife and mine would probably get along. She just utilizes whatever manual car I have but the Macan is hers, and she insisted on the GTS. She wants a Jeep or a Bronco something fierce, but wtf is she gonna do with it in flat-ass central Maryland? She'll probably convince me soon enough though. I may be in touch for recommendations ;).

Haha. Wife has a new Defender, but I think she likes the ITS more. I've only driven it once before it went to the detailer to get tint, ppf, and ceramic.

I'm not really a Porsche fan, nor Audi. Was thinking about purchasing an RS6, but owners I know state that there's on going issues that make it a headache.
Oh, and there's nothing wrong with driving over curbs and parking barriers in a Wrangler or Bronco lol
