I had a large drink that had a leak while in the cupholder.

By the time I got home, the large cup was empty. I shop vac'd whatever was left in the cupholder, probably about 6 ounces worth of diet soda. It seems the rest leaked into the four openings that grips the cup.

Question. Where did all that liquid end up at? Will this cause electrical damage?

Thanks. My first post.

The cup holder just snaps in. Pull it out and see where it went?

I popped out the retractable grips to see if it gives me access.
No it does not.
Now, I messed up the grips.
Thanks man!

Look up the instructions to install the acuity 4 way short shifter and it’ll show you how to remove everything. It’s actually quite easy and not much to get out to get under there. I removed recently. There’s no electrical under there so you should be good.

Thank you. Now two of my grips does not retract. Oh well.

Thanks again.

I bet if you removed it you could spray it down and wash it clean so the joint areas in the cup holder grips can get free.

I removed the grips thinking I can pop out the holders using the holes as a leverage. When I put them back in, I guess the springs came undone and was only to put two back to how it was.

Thanks again.

Under most center consoles its open so it would have gone to the sound proofing first then up if there was enough liquid...usually I just pour water to dilute it an keep the sugars off wires...overall I wouldn't worry to much about it
