HRC Parts Are Officially Coming for the Honda Civic Type R, Acura Integra Type S, and More

October 22, 2026

Honda has been teasing us with an HRC (Honda Racing Corporation) performance parts division for a couple of years—and as of Thursday, we have word that it’s finally here.

HRC is using the 2026 SEMA Show in Las Vegas as a launching pad for the initiative, as it’s planning on showing off a few ready-to-buy parts in addition to prototypes of future parts. Just as you might suspect, the current Honda Civic Type R and Acura Integra Type S are the stars of the show, and will be the two cars where most of these parts can be installed.

Initially, HRC will be offering a new forged aluminum wheel made in partnership with 2elle-engineering for the Type R and Type S. (This Italian wheel-maker supplies the wheels for the Acura ARX-06 race car, so it only makes sense to extend the partnership to the road.) A 19-inch wheel in either gray or bronze will be offered: it’s 0.5 inch wider than the factory wheel, and drops 5.5 pounds per corner; the offset is 55mm versus 60mm from factory. Honda says it tested the wheel on the Nürburgring, noting its reduction in unsprung weight, wider width, and increased negative offset all help improve handling. Not to mention, the offset should naturally improve the car’s stance. Unfortunately, we don’t have a price yet.

In addition to the wheels, Honda says it intends to show off prototypes of adjustable coilovers with camber plates, a six-piston Brembo brake kit (the stock Type R has a four-piston caliper), and a short throw shifter. We don’t know the details on these parts yet, but there could be more to learn at SEMA this year.

HRC says all of these parts will be available through Honda and Acura dealerships and the Honda DreamShop. That said, you’ll need to wait until the official on-sale date in March 2027 to bring them home.

There’s a Reddit thread in r/acura about dealers getting a preview of a special limited production type S coming late this year in an “iconic color”. I assume it’s the HRC prototype.

Call me a conspiracy theorist but the fact that this has a new vented hood but they didn’t mention it anywhere makes me think the refresh is getting a new hood.

I've said it before and I'll say it again... The hrc vented hood is actually worse in design than the factory louvre hood. Ideally you want the louvre right behind the radiator and front and center for the airflow. The hrc thing is not going to be as efficient or effective as the oem one.

I also find it funny that car and driver called it "race inspired" upgrade parts. Hilarious that they're already labeling it ricey.

I like the way this car drives, I like the car, and I'm seriously disappointed in everything hrc has to offer... Rebranded aftermarket parts that already exist, no testing data to speak of, and waiting forever to "release".

Do better, Honda. Do better.

I knew this was familiar. They previewed all these parts at SEMA last year:

With the exception of the wheels and the BBK (which might actually be a good value based on the Dreamshop prices for Touring bits), they are all rebadged parts that were developed by other companies and have been available for a long time.

Based on the recent article, I'm not expecting anything new for FL5/DE5. Maybe if you want some fancy rims or a Borla exhaust for your Passport or w/e, this is exciting. Otherwise 🤷‍♂️

10” wheel and +55 offset would still require me to run spacers in order to get the fitment I am after. The wheels look great but I’ll be damned if I’m spending $5k or whatever and not getting the exact fitment I want

2 years later, you still can't buy the parts. At least you have a date now?

Misha posted today driving the HRC Integra at NĂĽrburgring. Great to see the HRC guys out testing and answering questions. Nice save Misha!
