Hatch release button not responsive

I'm finding that the hatch release button sometimes takes a while to respond, has anyone found this?

Since the hatch doesn't have any remote opening function other than unlocking you can just press the unlock button to achieve the same thing.

I thought so, but reading the manual it says that the control button unlocks but you still have to use the hatch release button to open it.

When the car is locked and it has to poll the fob wirelessly then I sometimes feel a delay, but when it's fully 4-door unlocked it works instantaneously.

I think that's probably it, i'll try unlocking all doors to see if it consistently opens quickly

I think the button always catches the latch mechanism if you don't push the button in properly.

In the ideal world, I shouldn't even have to press the button lol. "SIRI open the FUCKING TRUNK!!"

Its a two step process. push once to unlock and push again to open.
